2sy_morphiendIt's still pretty shitty that they have an objectively harder schedule and will most likely not make lan because of something completely out of their control
...So you give up?
I've done numerous tournaments, real life crap, matches, leagues, etc where I felt like I was at an unfair disadvantage to others competing against me. When I first got into my local Smash Tournament scene the #4 overall seed was in my group despite the fact that I dominated the qualifying/play-in rounds. You know what will guarantee you a loss? Not showing up. I got my ass handed to me, despite knowing that I could have easily made it out of at least 6 of the other 11 groups (top 4 win money for what it's worth). But I wasn't. I also wasn't bitter. I felt like I should have been seeded better. But I wasn't. To win something worthwhile I would have had to have "upset" one of the "bigger" players eventually. Why the hell does it matter if I did it in the group stages or in the knock out rounds? If they want to actually win LAN or even compete at it, they would have had to have beaten Tri Hards eventually. What's the difference between doing it now and doing it at LAN? Man the fuck up.
I'm sorry, but if they really did just give up because they felt the schedule was unfair then I don't feel bad for them.
-frag me to oblivion, I don't care. It's shit like this that I can't stand. Sometime life sucks and isn't fair. Instead of bitching about it, bitch about it and do something about it.
edit: This is assuming they didn't show up for what's being alleged. If that's not the case, this rant is unrelated.
