I to am very apprehensive about Overwatch, they have a lot of really passive classes some of which from what I understand are only available if you buy? The time based abilities have a lot of potential just hope they won't be implemented the way I think they will.

Yeah I know their's several others but all of them have suggestions I can't really afford atm.
I'm looking for something in the ball park of $40-$100 I'd prefer decent sound quality (not necessarily excellent), circumaural, would prefer a mic on the headset (from experience they catch less background noise from voice activation), preferably not wireless, light headsets are a plus, if you can find any in the price range the cancels out noise that would be insane.
Headsets I've looked at
G230 - $50ish
G430 - $70ish
Razer Kraken - $60ish
HyperX Cloud - $80ish
Corsair Vengeance 1500 - $85ish
I'm pretty hesitant to buy any of those as I'm not so sure of the price/quality ratio
Keep in mind I already have earbuds and 2 desktop mics so I'm mostly looking for a convenient headset for travel or if I just don't want to bother setting everything up.
VectriComangliaare you using the dolby surround sound or something like that? should be a little switch on your headset.
I have a g930 with that switch idk if the g430 does.
-edit-
Wait is this all audio? or just audio recorded from the microphone? pretty sure you have a driver setting ticked wrong, or a switch on the headset either way though.
It was not echoing when I used it on my last PC, so it's obviously not a headset problem. I've thoroughly gone through the RealTek drivers I had installed at first. This echoing doesn't seem to be applicable to any of my drivers. It still persists even with all audio drivers uninstalled, so it must be an on board problem, but my BIOS doesn't seem to have any audio settings except for switching HD audio off and I tried that already.
Have you tried installing logitech drivers?

Well I paid up there better be a league since I'm not playing anyway. #backup
as someone who's never really played much 6s, and mostly HL, A:R is dumb. I'd rather play a polished version of Mannpower 5v5 or 6v6 over A:R and I'm not terribly excited over that.
Frost_BiteComangliaso what's heavy like with the new grappling hook?Do you really need to be told that heavies that can travel 800+ UPS are silly?
No I assumed, grappling hooks would make class balance completely and utterly meaningless if they don't have any difference between classes.
so what's heavy like with the new grappling hook? or pyro for that matter...

still never see lower then a 50 ping, choke, loss etc.. WTB FIBER
That has lot more to do with routing outside of your service area, getting to fiber might lower your ping by like 4-5ms at best.
g502, g402, g400s, g100s, some of the DAs, ninox aurora is probably good as well but really haven't seen much for it (I ended up canceling my pre-order), I wouldn't recommend most Zowie mice as they have a lot of mouse button input latency as seen here
http://www.overclock.net/t/1411332/mouse-button-lag-comparison (only the AM and EC2evo are measured taking about 16ms longer than a g300 at reporting) worth noting the DAs really are not that great either being roughly 5-6ms slower at reporting mouse button presses. Btw they use a G300 as their 0 point.
