- Do you want smaller, more frequent local events (With small-no prizes), or bigger, less frequent events?
I think that bigger less frequent lans would be a better option as we could aim to get as many people to show up as possible and get a good tournament.
- Would you like to remain in the Hunter & Lucas venue, or use a venue that is BYOC?
I'm kinda split on this part, on one hand I like the venue, and it's nice to not have to take a computer + monitor with you.
On the other hand the computers were kind of shitty, the one that I had in December was dropping down below 60 fps in every teamfight and made me not want to play. I think someone else (hassassin maybe?) was having the same issue. I think if we are getting enough people it might be worth it to go somewhere else but for a small lan like the last one Hunter & Lucas will be fine.
- Are you open to attending a bigger LAN if I were to organize the TF2 tournament there?
I would be down to go but you probably already knew that, perhaps we (ie: everyone who is interested in going) should discuss the date and location and see how many people would be able to go.
Any feedback from previous Toronto LANs are welcome as well.
IMO the first one was much better then the second one. The tournament felt like an actual tournament and more people were able to attend. The only issues I had with it was the lack of computers and having to rotate people around on them.
I think if we want to get a lot of people to show up we need to decide on the dates very early in advance and (preferably) not have it too close to the lan that shdwpuppet / whoever else is organizing.
One other thing, if we have bigger less frequent lans then i think that more crazy people like Willmatic and Spades would be willing to fly / drive in.
he also said he was going to leave froyo and sandbag IM after i58.
idk if he was serious about anything he said in that pug other than when he called you autistic and muted you.
