If you're new to competitive tf2 try checking out http://www.ugcleague.com . A lot of new players come in here under the assumption that they can play at a high level because they consistently top score in a pub game, but competitive tf2 is very different and requires a lot of learning and understanding of the meta. Try looking for an iron/steel team, if you're shitting on kids, look for a higher division.
