#20 Looking for scouts and sollys for mid - high open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Just a quick update guys:

We have already filled out our starting scout positions. If you still wanna try out as scout, feel free, but recognize you'd be trying out for a backup spot. We're still trying out pockets and roamers, so please come and try out if you still need a team :D

For anyone who wants to try out, you should add me instead of snaz for the next few days as snaz will be very busy the coming nights.

JaguarFiendDakrah and Snaz are awesome! I've known them for a while now and can tell you that they're super nice, friendly, and smart players with a great attitude and tons of enthusiasm. Dakrah has a wicked work ethic and has developed good dm with his efforts. They are strong mid-open players right now but with the right (similarly minded and committed) teammates their team can start breaking into high open for sure. Do not delay, human. Talk to them right meow!!

#34 Unprofessional behavior from ESEA admin in TF2 General Discussion

Just to clarify, we will be trying our best to reschedule because at this point there's nothing we can do about it; however, it seems that there's either an error in the system, clarity of rules, both, or something else that I cannot think of that needs to be addressed for future reference because I do feel like it is a mistreatment, or rather punishment, of the punctual team and a reward to the late team after a week of careful scheduling around a date. Whether people agree or disagree with whether it should have been a forfeit is irrelevant at this point but I do feel like some change should be made so that similar situations can be avoided in the future.

ukmwhen you reportffw the other team has a minute to start the game

the enemy team tried to start the game when they got reportffw'd but it didnt work because it was past 30min which prevented them from starting (even though they tried to)

it wasnt a legit forfeit

Then one would think to put it somewhere in the rules for teams to be aware of the procedures. The ESEA rules only state the following regarding forfeit wins and reporting them:

Forfeit Wins & Loses
If a team does not have six players in the server "readied up" after 20 minutes from the originally scheduled match time, then the opposing team can force them to play with five. If they cannot field five, then the other team will be able to submit a forfeit win. The captain of the team should use the ".reportffw" in the game in order to submit the forfeit win.
Below is the listed amount of times a team may forfeit before they are placed inactive in the league.
All Divisions: Four matches per season

Here's my source for that:

http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=content&d=league_rules_TF2

As you can see, nowhere in there does it clarify that past the 30 minute mark a team cannot forfeit it nor does it mention that the other team is allowed a minute to ready. If we're supposed to be punished by this after bending our schedule for matches, it should at least be clarified in the rules so that teams may know beforehand.

#2 Low Demo LF Mentor in Mentoring

This kid is very eager to learn and has a major drive to get better. I've seen him improve his dm and he's studied many STVs. You'll be pleased with his desire to improve and I can guarantee he'll take your feedback and make something out of it.

#1 ESEA-O team lf new pocket in Recruitment (looking for team)

So we've just lost our pocket and we need someone who's not only dedicated to tf2, but to pocket soldier as well. We try to scrim at least 5 days a week and we review STVs often, so you must have time in your schedule for that. Send me a friend request if you want to try out.

edit: We already found a new pocket. Thanks to everyone for the stellar recommendations and thanks to all the sollys for trying out. Good luck to all of you!
