im just going off the post 4 #18, says he's looking into GL in the future.
personally with Steamboxes/Linux getting pushed really hard, it makes way more sense to just do OpenGL first tbh....but maybe he doesn't know it that well.

yeah although since he's making it on DX11 apparently it'll only work on Windows 7 & Windows 8 computers.
london_callingDarkNecrid#156 even if ESEA themselves are only doing Open writeups, TF.TV should do Open Writeups then.
i think you meant invite write ups. and i dont think enigma will let me or conductor post articles on here anymore.
yeah I did, fixed, also other people can do them too...they should exist just like IM/Main/Invite tbh.

VortexWhy are there so many comparisons to Dishonored rather than comparing it to the previous three Thief games? I guess if it's like what DNC said I'll just pass on the game.
because it's not really like the previous three thief games and is actually like dishonored really.
it's a poor man's dishonored
except dishonored is cheaper
The AI minions are also harder to tell from humans at a glance making grouped up fights more interesting and also promoting people to reveal themselves on the radar constantly hindering camping and keeping the action high.
i dont know how the pistol is op, other weapons kill players much faster regardless of if you lock on or not.
on a side note, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IsD_Xcnpc0
the airshots are real
#19 VAC3 supports uploading executables and dlls to Valve directly for them to run them on VM, so that seems of little use to me in that case.
#58 no it isn't, every source game needs that file and it does literally nothing (without Steam Integration, with Steam it tells it what AppID too - that's just Portal 2's AppID which is probably the branch they messed with) except tell the game what data file to load from.
It also says SupportsXbox360 0 but that's false since it definitely does. None of it means anything. TF is only DX11 unfortunately, you can already try otherwise by command line parametering -dxlevel 90 etc, that's why it requires Windows 7 or 8.
#61 they're working with Intel to fix it for launch hopefully :D
It's a very old bug that has been around since I first got the game. (so like 5 soon to be 6 years now I think)
It's hard to reproduce since it doesn't happen consistently, it only seems to happen if the enemy Spy is near by though.
http://www.twitch.tv/jackfrags was streaming it.
Lots of graphics options, fov of 70-90, runned great, no crashes, he said it doesn't "feel like a source engine game", and he'll prolly stream it some more in 6 or so hours.
Looked gr8.
Not sure how I feel about burn cards.
Origin is actually better than Steam now in many respects, and you can just run it through Steam and get the Steam overlay still. So...I dunno.
For the record the invite limit was removed in late 2012, it wasn't around last year at all, this has pretty much been happening since then as far as rosters go so it's really nothing new there's just some new Invite/Main blood since there's a prize pool now.
