thrillM4TTcan anyone tell me whats the difference of the plot between the books and the tv show?
I read all five books from the end of the last season to about a couple months ago, so ADWD is still fresh to me. From seeing what's going on with trailers and reading about this upcoming season, HBO is doing some major cutting of the books.

They are shortening a lot of storylines...
They are quickening a lot of storylines...
They are cutting some major plots out...
They are using different characters for certain story arcs...

It's gonna be hard to just see the show as the show, and the books as the books. But I've already yelled at my monitor about some of the changes....it's gonna be a long season.

Yeah that's my biggest problem with the show so far. They could quite easily not shorten some storylines, still have them be interesting and not be running out of material. A more faithful adaptation would be just as watchable and wouldn't be trying to race ahead of the books because they have enough content to work with.

Can't wait for the game. Played the first two games and in the process of reading the translated books.
I'm obsessed with the witcher stories.

How are the books so far???

This, been meaning to pick them up for a while.

Don't forget this kind of stuff goes well on CVs/resumes. When looking for internships last year I could talk about VTV/TFTV experience at every one.

#209 Your most special/memorable TF2 moments? in TF2 General Discussion

Saturday night of i52. The TF2 dungeon had an incredible atmosphere starting from the mix^ iM game then the mix^ Epsi game. The one that stands out is standing up after that mix^ epsi golden cap on granary and watching Lange bent double screaming at the monitor.

PhunkWhy does everyone hate raidmax power supplies? I bought mine 2 years ago unknowingly, and after finding out their bad rep about a year later annd got it tested for all sorts of issues and it hasn't had any until then or since. It has just been a good deal. Perhaps I am just fortunate.

A lot of them also advertise their peak wattage only. Sure it might be able to hit 500W for a second if it needs it but if it can only sustain 350W then it will blow up.

AdmirableTwiggywan I just want to say that I really appreciate your efforts in doing all the coverage for this event single-handedly despite being cripplingly French, aloof and handsome. You may well be a Div7 shitnerd and a greasy Frenchman, but you have elevated yourself from the level of subhuman baguette eater to a valued member of the TF2 community. Santé!

#13 ESEA EU in TF2 General Discussion

We're all in agreement that what ESEA offers in terms of prize pool and LAN are necessary for the health of the game in the future but I for one really wish it was anyone but ESEA.

WARHURYEAHThe season happened during ETF2L, for most teams one of those tournaments had to be given second priority, I feel it could have maybe been better if it wasn't running at the same time as many teams really couldn't be arsed at all.

With 2 ESEA matches a week and then 1 ETF2L official a week that's 3 game nights already taken for official games. When do you get your scrims in if most teams can only spare 3 or 4 nights a week? At the time it was one or the other, not to mention scheduling conflicts between ETF2L and ESEA games. If the seasons were to fall so that ESEA came between the ETF2L season or vice versa it might work out better, although then you have no downtime for team reshuffling etc.
