#425 Post your setup in Off Topic

Thought I'd post my setup here too.

Recently put up my monitors with an arm stand I got for free from my Dad. I like it a lot so far, and it seems sturdy too.

Here's a pic of my whole set-up.

Those two weird looking lights on top of my ASUS monitor are actually these.

It's just a sensor bar for the Wii/Wii U that will also let me play my emulated Wii games on my PC with no problems.

Thanks to this setup I can also really easily put my monitor into portrait mode, so I can play gamecube racing games like this:

BEST WAY TO PLAY F-ZERO EVER. That increased FOV makes your head spin.

#199 Why do so many people bash 9v9? in TF2 General Discussion

(steel-silver scrim)

HL is fun if your team is good.

i was blu scout, and i play 6's at a silver 6's level. got 4 med picks, 2nd top fragged.

I rang for a highlander team ONCE as scout.
http://sizzlingstats.com/stats/77446

Every single player in that game did not know how to shoot a good scout, it was a complete and sad roll and I top damaged by more than 50 dpm on top of the demo.

Contrast that to 6v6, where I couldn't overextend if I wanted to even against bad teams because you have two soldiers that will shoot feet and a demo that can shoot air stickies that will kill you and 2 scouts with hitscan weapons following you. Even if they couldn't hit you right, they'd just chipshot you to death, not so in Highlander. It's just boring or a complete roll.

#2 CPU Curiosity in Hardware

It will work fine. But you should always go intel i-5/i-7 as they really are a lot better(but that will be fine for TF2).

#5 do i have a bottleneck in Hardware

Yup, what Geknaiir said. To go into a little more depth, your CPU is now 4 years old. The architecture is extremely outdated compared to what is available now 45nm compared to 22nm. Replace your CPU and your FPS will skyrocket.

#1 [Stream] Deep in Requests

Hi! I pretty much only stream TF2, with probably occasionally other games, usually indie or gamecube/wii games as well. I will stream tf2 jumping/pubs/pugs/scrims/league matches as well.

I'm located in Florida, USA. I'm on my second season of open now as a roamer! Thanks for looking.

SolidSpeerlaiyeJust tested it on a pub server and if you die close to an enemy player while having a person whipping you the enemy player will get damaged when he's standing where you died 8)

Yup, and in rare cases, you can kill them like I did here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ripQ6uYwYBA

You cannot spectate the cart and hurt people though, strangely enough. You must be spectating a person.

wi think this has happened to me before whenever i kill a pyro but he kills me 1s later with the axtinguisher

i figured it was just bad lag/hitreg

I don't think it works with pyro.

Or maybe I'm wrong? :(

Can you do this with spy and backstab the other team? Some pubs let you spec the enemy team right?

From what I have tested, it only works with Heavy and Soldier. You can go holiday punch and make everyone on the other team laugh if you can spectate them though.

OK, this is really funny. Tested it with the whip, it works.

This means I can kill myself, wait for respawn in 14 or so seconds and during that time whip my entire team by switching cameras. This is absolutely incredible.

Process behind this:

Step 1: Make sure you're using whip.
Step 2: Bind KEY "slot3; +attack; explode"
Step 3: Make sure you're able to hit the ground while dead.
Step 4: Switch between cameras and whip your entire team.

I am pretty sure I whipped Blank after I was dead. It gave me the noise that I hit someone with the whip and it happened just like you explained.

Oh, cool. If it works on weapons not just the escape plan and GRU that'd be really cool.

SilkThreadwtf

I made a super simple script to get it to work every time too.

Bind KEY "slot3; +attack; explode"

EDIT: Won't work everytime, works everytime in spawn though. Weird as fuck.

EDIT2: Also found out it still works if you switch to the opposing team. Not spectator though, so you can do the glitch, immediately switch to opposite team and smack people that were on your team as your ghostly self.

Recently found out that if you kill yourself, or someone kills you and you switch to your melee weapon on that exact frame, you can still swing your melee weapon while you're dead. It happened in this clip.

EDIT: Tested it a bit more, turns out it happens with weapons that make you take mini-crits when you switch. The Escape Plan and Gloves of Running urgently work. Doesn't work with rescue ranger.
