thought about that too after i found my first but it makes alot of sense to find more shinies in this, you can see shinies in the overworld and also see like 6 pokemon at all times, so even with the same odds as usual you are getting to roll the dice alot more/faster than in any previous game
in my case, the game just spawned a Luxray in my face during a rift, if it was say Emerald and i could avoid that encounter i would have and never seen that it was a shiny in the first place

Games fun, clearly rushed and needs more polish in many places, mobile port is hot ass so keep that in mind if you got an old phone.
Otherwise nice to have a proper sim to play on but the lack of up to date cardpool (its behind by a few months) and no choice on format means that while neat, this will be very pointless for testing decks people plan to play in paper so it will just be this bizarro format between OCG and TCG while being ages behind on cards from either.

made me instantly drop Duel Links tho so thats a plus

i really wanna be optimistic about GameFreak doing new things with the franchise but the fact that it is different gameplay feels like the only talking point i have seen from the general public over how good that gameplay is in actuality.

Ultimately GameFreak itself has proven to be very technologically inept and all the best games of the Pokemon franchise where made by other devolpment studios and thats just kinda sad.

worth noting that theres a 3DS .cia out there somewhere for this if you want to have this on console (or hmu and i can dig it up)

Overall fun game tho the self insert stuff is kinda distracting, with billdozer on this one otherwise, the Open world is both the biggest strength and weakness of the hack since you can just kinda not do a bunch of stuff and just turbo through Gym battles (did a meme speedrun once and just catching an Alakazam can beat the game in like 2h)

my fav hacks are still prolly Dio Ventos gen7 stuff https://diovento.wordpress.com , Divine Sword (works on Yuzu) and maybe Double Battles only Emerald. Very biased recommendations tho since im a big fan of hacks that are difficult and make good use of having competitive experience

do note that all of these changes are currently only set in stone for the preseason cup and you can still cry about it to get something changed before the season starts

ayo, in the market for a new controller since my old 360 is super dead at this point and while i wouldnt be opposed to just jump on to some xbox one controller (which aparently has a better Dpad than the 360) i figured i get some opinions on some other options from here first since the xbox one is like 70 bucks and maybe theres some 3rd party ones that actually hold up.

idk 1.1.1 Glitches are the most fun i had with unmodded pokemon since i was a kid so do that on emu tbh
