Whenever I join the UGC mge server it always seems to do something to my PC where for the rest of the time my game is open it seems to stutter and bottleneck but my PC components are fine when looking at taskmanager????
Any help would be appreciated, iv heard it could be some kinds of mod that is downloaded from the server but idk.

doikuCommon problem usually happens when theres stuff in your main cfg or custom folders. I believe the solution was to use lawenas specified custom and cfg folder which you can find somehere in the launcher

zhernhad this issue a while ago aswell, if u try closing every file explorer window before u launch thats what fixed it for me
Would this also include having CFGs tabs open in notepad++ even if that application isn’t open.
When I try to launch tf2 in lawena it fails and shows in the bottom left corner 'Failed to replace cfg files'
I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and knew how to fix it.

So there are a lot of different views on this, I'm wanting to see peoples reasoning for why to run each one/why not to run each.
Personally I run shotty, as you can then train rockets and hitscan aim, but im interested to see different views.

yeah iv noticed it for a while but i just wanted to see if anybody has created a mod or something to make it less annoying :)
Does anybody know how to fix the fact that when i shotgun switch from my rocket launcher and back the sounds from both the weapons cuts off as if my headset has just been unplugged. The rest of the games sound is alright and still there, its just this one aspect is very annoying as if doesnt happen for any other shotgun class (Pyro engi heavy). If you guys dont know what i mean i can make a small clip demonstrating what is happening.

so iv been running tf2 in low settings for a while, but as soon as i got a new pc the game all of a suddenly looks more grainy and textures actually render in where before they would not. as an example, look at these 2 screenshots of tf2 below, the first one is my game before my new pc, the second one is virtually what my game looks like now, even though in the first one i was running dx 9, but the second one is dx 81. it just doesnt make sense to me cause i use all the same configs and launch options as i did before, so i am assuming it is something to do with my graphics card (nvidia gtx 1660) or some other hardware.
i like how my game looked and would prefer to return to it if possible. ty in advance.
ps. i did not use any flat texture mod for the first ss.
second ps. notice what is known as top of spiral in both pics, the first one is mush and flat, the other is grainy. i would like to return to mush and flat.
