I like mice with side-buttons so I can mash +duck with my thumb instead of my left-hand pinky.

I use a monoprice zowie-am now, it's like $30. My old mouse was some no-name 5-button piece of crap that I loved but the USB cord would stop working every now and then and I had to stop using it.

Congrats on the visa! I recommend visiting philadelphia if you'll be going that way. The summers are beautiful and active (if maybe a lil humid), the public transit system is robust, plenty of cheap delicious street food, it's a very walkable city. There's also a shitton of transportation options out of philly to other cities (NYC, Baltimore, Washington DC, etc.) via Amtrak or Megabus/Bolt bus. If you book far enough in advance you can get a bus from 30th street station to NYC for <$5.

Does it really not show uber% in the hud? I could have sworn I saw a green 46% over our medic's portrait when I remembered to look up at the new hud elements.

weird bug on cp_foundry where the collision for props doesn't work. at first I thought I beefed an RJ as I fell through a heretofore solid roof over mid but then we started building sentries inside crates. that should probably be fixed.

Keeping in mind the low-level, less organized players who will be in matchmaking, another benefit of the door lock at round start is that you can change classes based on how the dummies on your team are composed without getting separated from the pack during rollouts. If the guy you thought was gonna play Medic decides he's gonna be a Pyro at the last minute (as happened in my MM match last night during the stress test), you have time to switch to med and buff everyone before they start blowin themselves up and leave you stranded.

I honestly prefer viewmodel_fov 75, as long as they don't force fov_desired anything under 90º.

MM was fun though. I played a map on CTF_doublecross (a map I've never played) and we barely lost 2-1 after our 100% useless engie (saying in chat "(TEAM) ill camp in spawn" like it's a strategy) pinged out and another player was AFK for half the match. I ran scout and teamed up with a random quick-fix medic and it made CTF extremely easy if you had any DM at all.
