It's not too much like TF2 but it's the only other FPS I've played consistently in the last 8 years: Doom and Doom 2. There are thousands of custom megawads (i.e. levelsets) and hundreds of good ones on doomworld.org. You can play it multiplayer via Zandronum with a 56k or dialup connection as it requires very little bandwidth and can generally be lag-compensated without fucking up.

The base doom.wad and doom2.wad (and tnt.wad and plutonia.wad) that you need to play custom content go for like $2-4 on Steam but you can also just message me and I'll link you my dropbox that has them all--they barely break a megabyte each.

if you do not already have class config files, create them (plaintext files called scout.cfg, soldier.cfg, et al), and put in them the command "sensitivity n.n" where n is a number between 1 and 9. fool around with different values till you find the ones you like the best.

I think it's smart to keep your sensitivities close though or you might have trouble developing muscle memory aim. For instance, my scout sens is 1.8 and my soldier and medic sens is 2.0.

A lot of the same complaints being made about the cleaver (banned) are also applicable to the Wrap Assassin (newly unbanned), which might be worth looking into if the Atomizer gets cut.

Sad to see Muma go. Besides his rollout fuckups and tendency to taunt midgame he was a very strong player. Some of his long-distance pipes at i58 were unreal. Best of luck to him in OW I guess.
