A little off the gpit subthread topic but whats wrong with Gullywash? i don't see any decently formulated complaints, i think its an all around solid ass map.

Funnily enough there were some guys in reddit last night, just throwing huge amounts of bitcoins at people, millionaires probably. I'm pretty sure everyone who got them sold immediately, which is probably atleast partially why the price is plummeting. Along with everyone else who sold off their shit because of the OP.
Hi, I'm Epoch. In the past I went by the name PyBro, did a lot of scrimming/pugs back then too. I've been back for a good amount of time now and I was looking to get on a team sometime soon. I'm relatively dedicated and work well with others who share it, including covering demos and team talks.
I prefer to play smartly and emphasize advantages much more than regular players, in addition to capitalizing on them whenever possible. Smart aggression, and doing whatever it takes to win. My DM is good and I like working with others. Hit me up, please.
laterally changing the metagame
Edit: I was originally looking for an as I worded it, "decent open team" , but the open teams that have come forward to ask me lead to me having a worked back with little fun to show for it. I thought it would be ideal for me to enter IM through open since I have no recorded seasons of ESEA. However, it seems like the only decent fits for me are teams in IM or very strong open teams. I'd like these kind of teams to contact me about tryouts in particular. If you have your doubts, give me a tryout and don't be afraid to ask others or mutual friends about me.
Edit 2: Have a team! Thanks for those who took a look at this post and gave me a tryout. Have a good season.

you're a star in the autist sky now
JayflippersYou don't spawn with an awpMagikarpAnother thing in CoD is that you can oneshot somebody with a sniper rifle(or so I've seen) even if it's just a bodyshot. It doesn't "charge" up like in TF2, it's really just a quickscope bodyshot insta-kill really. Shouldn't headshots be the instant-kill? It's ridiculous how not only do you have aim assist, but with a sniper rifle that can oneshot with a bodyshot...
counter strike
you don't get aim assist either (if anything rather the opposite due to scope fov), and people can fuck you over by buying smokes or flashes pretty easily. theres actually strategy though so that shit's already too far out there for codkids
kirbyI think the only TF2 related dream I had was when I pulled off 10 airshots on the same guy and getting super frustrated when he wouldn't die
my MGE nightmare
was just curious. i'd be down tho, although i already do csgo with some tftv dudes here http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TFTVCSGO just pm me for an invite
anjirocoolHonestly, if you haven't tried the visual novel Katawa Shoujo, it's free and definitely worth playing.
Fantastic soundtrack too.
how is the competitive scene and can you link me some frag videos for it thansk

brings up a good point though, when you start off with no knowledge even lobbies are good, you learn fast when you have some dumbass kids yelling into your ear. and watch every single video of that MGE archive, it's pure gold.
random medic tips:
-when its clear mid is lost, you back out
-if someone is still fighting and its just you and him versus 5 people, stop pocketing his ass, he's probably trying to cover your exit, losing mid and losing uber almost always means last point will be an easy win for them.
-learn how critical heals work
-learn how building with a pocket works
-analyze every time you die what you did wrong instead of just cursing yourself over it
-dont take out your needlegun if there is someone around unless the guy has 5-20 health and you know it
-learn when to switch between krits and regular uber
-stay back and have people come to you for heals, medics who over extend to heal people covering doors always get fucked
-learn the mechanics behind when to and when not to pop when a bad event occurs (soldier bombing, counted his rockets and he has one left and he's in front of you, direct damage from rocket = death if you're below 90 or so, you should pop to keep from "dropping")
never drop an uber ever
-dont blame your mistakes on others unless your pocket is really that retarded, unless its ESEA you still learn on your own
streams are a decent learning mechanic
-look for a UGC steel team maybe, or if you have friends start a team with them to make the initial experience a lot more fun. being friendly and having a tolerance against assholes will find you some great friends to play with.
-regardless of what might be evident, a willingness to improve is always met with good intentions. it's okay to ask others what you did wrong. if you're really lost find a mentor using the mentor subforum, and set up P-Rec (a service that records demos) and give some to him that you can watch with him. a more experienced friend is always a cool mentor too, since he wouldn't mind watching it too.
good luck my friend.
cool guy i like his attitude in pugna. def not a beefer either, consistent in his level.
etf2l allows it, and they're usually the people you read advocating it. but it's a plugin and valve has never outright banned for it, so i dunno mank.
vertoAlso CoD gamers had always been faggets
Ye, this video be my favorite though
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7HbCkU_-cM
my favorite is when the cod players found it and thumbs-downed it to hell, and calling the videomaker a virgin. I do agree that game makers who get behind competitive esports is a huge plus for the rest of esports, but as anyone might notice defining an ultimate level of skill to be competitive for a mainstream game influences people to play longer and buy the dee ell cees but not to encourage them to look into the competitive scene for other games.
As the developers might put it

I think it's an awful way to introduce esports to a new medium as it could set an awful precendence in front of the real challenging games but is still a good example for the naysayers who define esports to be a childish medium.
