the tower mac pro (the generation before the garbage can) could be cool, if there's enough space
SentinelBasically, I've got a 15 Mb/s connection. I'm using an ethernet cable from the router to my PC and my flatmates are using WiFi. Sometimes when they're downloading HD gay gangbang porn or w/e it is that they do, I get ping spikes ingame.
So is there any way to restrict the bandwidth that they can use? Say, 10 Mb/s on the LAN cable and 5 Mb/s on the Wifi.
If you're doing this though give yourself 5mb/s tbh, tf2 doesn't need heaps and your flatmates won't get mad

Osu has zero strategy, it's basically just mechanical skill and practice, but because of the combo mechanic it's super intense in comp because if you make one mistake you will probably lose

Thanks! That price is way better than I was expecting, I definitely would've wasted more money if I hadn't asked.
Just out of interest, if you were going to upgrade the power supply to semi modular, or something a bit more efficient, what would be your suggestion?
That's probably my last question, cause I won't get the opportunity to actually take this build to a computer shop for a couple weeks
Would've been cooler to see how it performed as a single pc, obviously seven way crossfire wouldn't work but the 54thread CPU would've been mad

Any decent mobo, µATX or full ATX, will have 4 slots, so 2x4GB should do.
Why an i7?
Why not non-K overclocking, if you're only going for a minor overclock.
And most importantly: Budget?
i7 cause I do 3d modelling and animation as a hobby, probably going to be doing some cad work in uni, and when I convert all my music from various formats to mp3 I like watching all 8 threads convert different songs at the same time.
If base clock overclocking is safe on skylake I might consider that actually, thanks, I was under the impression that nobody does that anymore.
Budget is around 2000, I guess, but I'm currently in Taiwan where prices are a bit cheaper than Australia so right now I'm just trying to get an idea of a good build that I can take to a Taiwanese shop and see if it's worth buying and sending back.

Could someone help me populate this build with solid components, I really have no idea what kinds of ram, mobo and psu I should be getting.
I'm thinking 16gb, 2x8gb since I'm not sure how many ram slots mATX motherboards have
It would be nice to have some kind of extra expansion slot in case I need a wifi card at some point (hopefully never)
For storage I'll probably get the currently recommended 250ish gb ssd plus a 2tb harddrive
I'll probably overclock a bit but my main aim for this build is silence.
I'm planning to buy a Korean 1440p monitor to overclock, so I'll be trying to game at 1440p
Sorry if I'm asking too much, I did have a quick look through the recent pages and I didn't really find a 6700k build that I could steal.
