Vortexwpminnowswhy not remove them entirelyI'm on board for this. It just supports the bandwagon reddit mentality where people look at the frag count to influence their opinion.
Perhaps one could make it so that only the OP could be fragged?

Thanks. Doesn't look like there are any pure am servers on that list. Oh well.
I have been wanting to play Ammomod over MGE with a friend, but haven't found any European servers after looking through the public server list and doing some google searches. Do any of you know about a server running the mod?
Mr_PerfectIts all a preference thing.
Sure it is, although cranking it down to 0 on for instance the heavy and pyro primaries basically gives you an unfair advantage :p
0 on all weps except for melee(85) and needlegun(54 w/ no viewmodel).
tranchemusicIf you talk to the people standing around it takes about 5 minutes to figure it out. Kids these days need their hands held.
And nothing ruins immersion like having your hand held. Part of what makes those games so successful and fun.
BenroadsMine launches but when I go into a server it keeps saying like invalid steam userid Ticket. Are steam servers just broken right now and we can't play?
I don't think that's related to the update. Servers work fine for me btw.
dashtmquick question: should I back up my custom HUD and mods before the update drops?
Thanks for mentioning that. I did it just in case. Can't hurt, right?

Second question on the page
I have the same issue. They're probably just updating their servers or whatever.
I guess Fallout 3 will be the better choice in my opinion of the two. It honestly depends on what you want, and I don't think I can add much to what has previously been said in this thread.
On a different note, if you are looking for an actually engaging RPG I strongly suggest you go pick up Planescape:Torment for 10$ on GoG or Baldur's Gate:EE for 15$ on Steam. Or you can go for the original two Fallout games. If what you value is a fleshed out and well realized story and fictional universe, I think either of those games will give you much more enjoyment than f3/skyrim.
If it's a part of the hud, you should be able to find it in your Steam\steamapps\<username>\team fortress 2\tf\scripts\hudlayout.res file. To do what #3 said, I believe you enter "visible = 0" and "visible_minmode = 1" in the crosshair entity.
Example:
"Crosshair"
{
"ControlName" "ImagePanel"
"fieldName" "VerticalLine"
"xpos" "426"
"ypos" "75"
"zpos" "-5"
"wide" "2"
"tall" "160"
"visible_minmode" "1"
"visible" "0"
"enabled" "1"
"fillcolor" "255 255 255 255"
}
Then you have to enter "cl_hud_minmode 0" in every one of your class .cfg files except for the one you want it enabled for, type "cl_hud_minmode 1" in that .cfg file. These files can be found in Steam\steamapps\<username>\team fortress 2\tf\cfg. Setting your hud to minmode may change some things depending on your hud.
Btw, you can use simple text editors like notepad to edit all these files.
Hope that helps.
Pretty sure there's two versions of this glitch, the one that has appeared lately (apparently related to spectating) and the one that has existed like forever (apparently triggered by having high latency). Hoping Valve takes the time to fix both while they're at it.
Btw, if any of you for some reason are having this issue in the replay system, going to 3rd person and rewinding typically solves it. Not sure if something similar might work for demos.
#44, is it really that big of a deal? I'm honestly just curious.
As for the topic, while I'm no good scout by any means, I find that confidence goes a long way in you hitting your shots. I guess practice is the biggest factor in establishing that confidence, but unless you try to adapt that mindset, you won't achieve it as easily. Always remember that it's just a game.
Might want to include this:
http://doodlesstuff.com/?tutorial=tf2hud
in the guides section, it's a bit more comprehensive than the videos listed.
He also has a custom hud of his own:
