you're a pretty big caster imo
i don't think it's that odd for people to shoot you random friend requests daily
i add pretty much everyone that adds me, but i add a ?????? as their nickname (i ended up going through my entire steam friends list and nicknaming every single person due to aliases), which i then tag them into an IDK group
whenever i need friends list space i just mass remove them, but i think out of like 20 adds, i maybe get 3 phishers and 2 completely insane people
i remember someone getting a false vac ban on the previous tf2 forum and they got their ban reversed in a few days
i'm too paranoid to install an outside program for something that already works (afaik) in tf2
cage-I was talking to someone last night, and they raised a good point. In valves statement, they made it clear pros should not partake in betting, and this was now against their policy. Now no one can think match fixing isn't a bannable offense, but they just made that rule as they banned the players. Im not sure this first time offense in the scene should have been such a career ending one. This is the first time (AFAIK) that valve stepped in to expose something like this, and with no prior statement saying they had rules that applied to other leagues not run by them.
What do you think?
i definitely think they deserve to be banned for life
throwing matches destroys the entire point of competing in anything
it's already really lame having seen people do this at fighting game tournaments i've been to and know the people fixing these matches (for about $500 total), but it's another thing doing this to other people for thousands of dollars of in-game items
they knew what they were doing and should have known the consequences if they got caught
i remember reading a similar guide by sp00ky, but this is a lot easier to read
