the problem about harddrive reviews is generally the only reviews you see are the DOA drives, because the people who are happy about their product don't usually write reviews, but i'll check that drive out too
also swapping out that 4770k for the 4770 makes sense, ty

I made this thread previously:
http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/6783-any-recommendations-on-parts-for-a-new-desktop
I ended up not buying it right away because I was going to be gone for all of July due to a vacation, but now that I only have a week left, I'm thinking of ordering the parts now~
This machine is being built for:
- 3D rendering using Maya/3dsmax
- video rendering via sony vegas suite
- photo editing
- streaming
- games
my budget is $2k, and I'm pretty sure I go over my budget, because I don't think pcpartpicker calculates the shipping that's going to be to Hawaii, which is probably going to be around $200-500 depending on how heavy the case will be
I don't really mind going over my budget, but I just wanted opinions from people who actually keep up to date on parts before actually ordering anything.
(DUE TO MY LOCATION, I CAN ONLY ORDER FROM AMAZON/NEWEGG)
here's my old build from a few months ago (the thread I linked at the start):
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/OF7U
the big difference is I really want to focus on 3D rendering more than anything, which is why I figured I should go for the i7 setup
I do not plan to overclock, which makes me wonder if I picked the correct parts, and I'm not good at computer parts, so I picked things based off of internet reviews
I do not need a monitor/mouse/keyboard, but I do need speakers
I've had a plethora of problems from AMD, so I don't like to use their products
a lot of people in my last thread were complaining that I didn't provide enough information, so there it is
TwilitlordSomeone shouted out tf.tv early in the stream, couldn't catch a name. Who was that?
me
it's fun because they're having fun, it's for a good cause, and it's just a fun environment in general so everyone has fun
i wish i could watch this live T_T my hotel internet is so awful that i can't watch streams at 240p
gonna watch the entire vod when i get back home though :V
Fixed soccer/beach balls sometimes blocking Payload carts and trains
this sounds like it would have looked hilarious
slardel [scout/utility] and jh [mainly his sniper plays]
KhakiFoxi don't think I've ever been able to pull that off once
i think it's always cool how even if you meet people from doing other things like playing tf2 or any other hobby, you can remain friends
what am I doing wrong
you need to believe
hanging out with loronix and anonemouse in mumble/skial servers as we stayed up all night to watch lan
every moment i hang out with my friends in mumble or in-game
i think it's always cool how even if you meet people from doing other things like playing tf2 or any other hobby, you can remain friends and still be able to talk about other things outside of game too
