So what's started out as a few minor edits of vabeHUD has sorta snow-balled into a complete redesign. Still not sure how I feel about things like the targetID but there'll be a lot more edits to come.

redd0tI think both TextWindow.res and TextWindowCustomServer.res in resource/ui/
Thanks so much! Sadly though only editing TextWindow.res worked (for the upper of the 2 images) and nothing was changing when I tried editing the other.
Edit: Turned out it was the MapInfoMenu.res file

I've decided to mess around with vabeHUD, still not sure how I feel about the font.

Edit: Decided to add a shortcut for closecaptions, but I can't work out whether to keep them below the minmode toggle or move them over to the right of the panel.
