Hey guys,
When we acquired Saloon all those hours ago, we made a commitment to support the competitive community.
Today, after an admittedly incredibly long wait, we're taking the first steps towards making good on that promise.
Saloon.TF is officially sponsoring ETF2L's 6's Season 22.
Thanks!

Regarding high-value items being indivisible: we already have a system on Sweetstakes that splits high-value items and recompenses with keys/ref. It's worked fantastically so far, and can easily be translated here.
2chigh value items are also more vulnerable to market manipulation. if item valuation is calculated through the steam market someone can buyout the items and inflate the prices further for unfair bets
only reason I can think of why golounge does it anyways. correct if wrong :--- )
Item valuation would not be calculated through the Steam Community Market
Hildrethmy first interaction with him on the Archimedes cup was an experience I won't forget any time soon. I was hoping we could arrange some sponsorship, I was hoping a few keys or something, Geel casually says "I could give you like $2,000", I nearly choked on my tea!
I remember that day. It's actually what inspired me to really get into the competitive scene. I felt then, as I do now, that $2,000 should NOT be "a lot" of money in the tf2 comp scene. I felt I was lowballing you guys at first. It'll take a while but I think we can get there.
Ma3laaYou guys should really put out a new saloon.tf trailer to show that its actually been released and works, the one that came out was released nearly a year before the site was even able to be used lol. Or just reupload the one huhy already made somewhere.
It's a possibility. Right now we need to focus on migrating everything and getting into a good flow.
hoolido you accept sexual favors
no but I accept you using the site
Yes it is. You're welcome. You owe me money for using that service btw it is NOT free!!
"Get out of here, trader scum." Not so fast! While, truthfully, Scrap.TF doesn't have a ton to do directly with competitive, we do have a few (free of charge) services that the competitive scene can benefit from!
First of all, we have our fundraisers feature. You may have seen fundraisers we created for Ablegamers, the Nepal earthquake, or for Ascent and Froyotech. While they're called "fundraisers," we like to think of them as "tradebots-as-a-service." Just as you might use PayPal to handle accepting money, you could use fundraisers to accept keys. Instead of having players send you keys manually through trade, why not have our bots handle it, and send your servers a message when they've completed the trade?
The expected usage of this is to accept payments for entry into tournaments/cups, and more traditionally, to run fundraisers for TF2 items.
We can also pay you for the keys you receive in order to convert the items into actual cash. Fundraisers are currently invite-only and are not entirely feature-complete (though for these purposes they are). If you're interested in using them, talk to us!
Next, of course, is raffles. You probably all know about our raffles. They can be run by anyone, and the twitch bot can be configured to run on any channel. Simply create a raffle, set it as the active twitch raffle, and the bot will begin promoting it. We're also working on a overlay / nodecg module for raffles as well.
Finally we have polls. These are a hidden feature, so to speak, but they're basically just...polls. The advantage they hold over strawpoll is that all votes are tied to steamids, and people can comment in the polls. Easier vote manipulation prevention.
To create a poll, visit https://scrap.tf/polls/create
Anyways, just letting you guys know about these things.
How did this bet have spread, yet saints were still the losers on saloon?
I like what you're doing saam. I'd like to talk to you on Steam; I've sent you a request.
