#5 split_ lft in Recruitment (looking for team)

Pretty sure it's impossible to not get along with split. He is good about making sure he is available for scrims and puts in effort into improving his game. On top that he has proven ability to play in IM, so give him a shot.

Ringo__StarrXanMumaRingo__Starrok really what part of your brain thought that post was a good idea nigga seriouslyProbably the same part that tells him how to play Demo. Someone needs some Hooli advice
Pharaoh is better than you though. So, how does that work?

um

when you get cut after you pay your invite fees and only get asked to play again because enigma didn't want to you don't get to pretend your opinion matters

I think you are confusing Xan with someone else?

#19 ESEA Intermediate Pizzagon eSports vs. Anteaters Chuckin Chairs in Events
GrimmIn seriousness we waited (roughly) 30 minutes pregame so they could get their player (Sub) in. We were met with no reply's on what was specifically (Update wise) going on till 2 minutes left before the server went down, started so they could pause for another 5 to get their sub in. We then waited another 10 or so minutes at half for their main player. Overall 40-50 minutes of waiting for them to get 6, hence the frustration.

Half time was like less than 3 minutes?

#1 Satan Take the Wheel LFP mid/high IM in Recruitment (looking for players)

We are looking to make another playoff run in IM next season. I am probably done for now since school + work makes playing difficult, so we are potentially moving smile to roam. We need a scout and a pocket. Add stochastic to try out.

Medic - rchl
Scout - Stochastic
Scout - ????
Roamer - smi|e
Pocket - ????
Demo - Xan

#10 Split_ lft IM Scout/Med(?) in Recruitment (looking for team)

Super laid back and has a great attitude. He was available for us when we needed him to backup at scout and medic all this season in IM. He will do fine on an IM team and honestly just needs an opportunity to play.

IM level dm, worth the tryout in low-mid IM for sure. He has filled in perfectly fine when ringing for us.

#12 Evaluating good play from stats/logs in TF2 General Discussion

Some time ago I wrote a log parser for looking at the x amount of damage dealt to a player in order to divide up kills, where x is that class's max health. So when a scout dies, you look at who dealt the last 125 damage dealt to them. if a demo does 124 damage to a scout and a soldier kills the scout with a 1 damage shotgun, then the demo would get 124/125 kills and the solider would get 1/125 kills. Unfortunately, I didn't account for true damage (i.e. you can't deal more damage to a player than their current health), so it didn't really provide much value. Additionally, I completely ignored overheals.

The extension of this idea though is that you can look at damage utilization of players. You can see what percentage of the damage a player dealt actually contributed to your team getting a kill. And you can also look at it as a team stat. What percentage of your team's damage actually went to kills. Generally teams with better focus should have much better damage utilization.

yaugeXtineWow, great link Jasbutts. I'll fill that shit out right now. Dummy was considering coming even if he couldn't get a seat, as long as he could get in to hang out. I'm not sure how Intel handles that, but if they are cool with me sliding in the door to cast then perhaps he can get in as well.

Haven't asked about getting this off at work, but hopefully shouldn't be a problem.

Was someone already planning on doing a stream? I'd love to hop on board that effort and help out. I imagine I'll have room to bring my rig and could stream myself, but always helpful to have someone else running production. Another tournament Saturday night sounds great as well.

I was there 2 years ago just to hang out. They didn't have any problems with it. Just gotta sign in at the front desk.

They pretty much don't care, you just have to sign a waiver and have some form of ID.

#3 Thoughts on CEVO match scheduling in TF2 General Discussion

I talked to a CEVO admin yesterday about this and they said that for main, it's somewhat of a soft deadline and that as long as both teams agree, they can reschedule it past the deadline.

#746 ESEA's possible demise? in TF2 General Discussion

Since it's likely that there will be fewer teams this season, are we going to see a reduction in the number of match servers? I believe it was increased last season, but it would only follow that a reduction in teams would cause a reduction in servers.

#513 ESEA's possible demise? in TF2 General Discussion
Mr_OwlIn the end I think we're trading in real competition, a LAN, and a company with a time-tested infrastructure for 10 bucks a player per season and some healing stats attached to some names that players like and I just don't understand why. The "ESEA is a shitty company" argument doesn't really hold water because the last time we saw CEVO they were a pretty shitty company too and at best they're unproven. Are healing stats or celebrity endorsements worth that much to you guys?

lol what time-tested infrastructure are you talking about? You mean the shitty stvs that take a season to fix? Or the regular client problems? Or are you talking about the incredible servers that used to lag on granary shutter doors?
