So what's the issue with delaying it into next year? I understand why people can't in the lead up to christmas, but can't it be delayed even further? It's the last game of the season; it's not like it's going to affect others games is it? Or is that just dumb?

Same problem, I've only recently bought my new computer and everyone else who I've asked has said it's just my computer. From halloween my FPS has been awful and I have no idea how to fix it. I'm glad I could help.
