Is there a VOD available for the Froyo vs Crowns game?

#11 i55 Final Summary in News

What an awesome i-series to watch. Each team has always been strongly contested. i46 Mix^ were very close with LG. i49 Epsilon had damn close games with HRG + Broder. i52 Froyo were much more contested outside of the final, and even i55 Froyo lost a b03 to nR and were 1 golden cap round from being knocked out by [R]eason on Gullywash. Grats to Froyo in the end though.

It would be great to see 2 international tournaments a year for TF2. Whether it's in NA somewhere or maybe a cheaper country to host it in Europe. There must be a thread somewhere on that. Hopefully matchmaking brings more hype + $

#1 Macbook Pro Retina 13" with TF2 in Customization

Anyone out there know of some decent tweaks using a Macbook Pro Retina 13" to play TF2, or even the 15"?

Has anyone noticed a significant improvement from running Windows via bootcamp? I'm running OSX 10.9.5 and have the 8bg ram 256 HDD 13 inch.

I've been able to play 90-120+ fps without much trouble before, but since the Halloween Update it all went downhill. It's almost unplayable now. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Things I have been using already:
- Chris's Max Frames config
- Lowest Res
- Default set launch options from maxframes

#2504 Show your HUD modifications! in Customization
Hergan5HerbsIf it's not too time consuming/difficult, can a proficient HUD editer out there help me to create the exact same version of EVE_HUD, except for the low ammo notification to make the whole text go red and have a flashing border as well. (the default is too subtle for me)

If anyone can help me and post a zip with it edited in the latest EVE_HUD download, I'd be very grateful!

Cheers

What do you mean exactly?

I mean to make a more obvious indication of low ammo in red/flashing. I had some trouble noticing low ammo with my last use of EVE hud, and from what I remember it was only a flashing border, by default. The text wasn't entirely red.

#8 linux? in Off Topic

Would any of you Ubuntu users say that it runs TF2 faster than windows 7? I'm on a 13" retina MB pro and I get around 100 FPS (with MaxFrames config) but that's only on OSX. If Ubuntu is going to boost FPS noticeably, then I'd love to dual boot.

#17 The Keyboard Thread (last updated Sep. 24, 2013) in Hardware

Thanks for this. It'd be nice if you labelled in the sub-heading which ones are ridiculous spaceship keyboards and which are simplistic looking ones.

#7 120 hz laptops in Hardware

Toshiba Qosmio. I think there's some older version that also has 120hz.

#26 For people going to i49: can i borrow a 120hz mon? in LAN Discussion
yukiAporia, sheep and myself all brought our monitors from Australia (re: ~30 hour transit total). The only one that was moderately damaged was mine, since my bag was quite smaller than both theirs, and I didn't protect it as well. The only thing that got damaged was the stand (not the base), so a little bit of plastic snapped off - no big deal.

Just jam a bunch of clothes/padding on/around it and you should be fine.

How much did you pay for the extra luggage to take the moniter Yuki? Would it have been possible to bring PC parts in hand luggage and rebuild in England? (I'm moving to Belgium and considering that). oh and with Qantas?

#22 Laptop for TF2 in Hardware

I completely agree. I couldn't care less about battery life, as long as it doesn't turn off as soon as I unplug it... I'm happy to carry a heavy laptop if it's not an everyday thing.

I'm really interested in what Defy posted, and also your one Thrasher (Toshiba Qosmio with 120hz 17") - I'm hearing great things about 120hz vs 60 hz so maybe that one is the go for the long term. It looks less spaceship-like also. I won't be buying it for at least 2 months so maybe the price on it will go down a little. They both have pretty decent reviews. Hopefully this thread has interested some other soon to be laptop gamers out there :)

This is going to be very heavy. If weight isn't a problem for you, go for it.

Also what's the point of a $2.02 discount on a $1400 laptop?

I think it'd be hard to find something much lighter than that, that isn't way more expensive/less powerful.
