It's cool you're on a first name basis with them and everything but I can't be bothered to queue 30 minutes to play a game where a week ago I could play in 30 seconds. Their hard work (for which I am sure they get paid to do) isn't going to make me satisfied until it actually works properly.

It's none of your business what choices she makes whether you agree or not and making it the business of anyone on TFTV willing to listen isn't going to provide you and sort of solution. Even if you talk to her in my experience of people with addiction is they go through different stages and anything you say is unlikely to magically solve her problems.

If you really wanted to do something that'd make the difference for good or bad, tell her parents / get authorities involved - But that's really drastic but if you're under the illusion you can just put her to one side give her some real talk and solve all her problems you're deluded.

Just move on with life.

A country like USA is so different culturally when it comes to football. Looking over your team is a pretty average, still calling up Jonathon Spector, without Donovan / Dempsey I don't see where the quality is in that team - Though granted losing to Trinidad and Tobago probably should not happen.

For England it's different, football is part of our national identity as the inventors of Association Football, losing to Iceland was deemed a national embarrassment, even losing to USA in 1950 World Cup was deemed the worst result in English football history (prior to last year), our media hammers our National team on a consistent basis. I mean we managed to win our group as expected and the team gets criticized for not winning the group with style, there is very little pleasing our media and as a result, our national expectations are raised to an unprecedented level every year.

Yup I am. Read between the lines here, BlackOut Jon is nominated for TFTV streaming only, no UGC admin nomimations, nobody from BlackOut TV, no organiser of two DeutschLANs, no ETF2L admins apart from one ex head admin.

OP asked for an opinion on the list I am saying my opinion is its circlejerk bullshit from a man with a massive agenda against a gamemode. I am prepared to be wrong about things and happy for people to get mad at me and call me names but its pretty fucked up from my point of view that this one guy is so against a gamemode which he knows has many good contributors he can't even mention that Jon has solely ran BlackOut TV for 5 years but can point out he has streamed some TFTV games.

If you didnt want my opinion on the list dont post a public thread.

I may be jumping to conclusions, but there is a noticeable history of TFTV admins circlejerking and ignoring efforts of a particular community because they dislike the gamemode they favour. Its not really hard to see which people are league admins and deserve recognition, could be ignorance rather than anything delibrate but even as a casual observer I can name you every league admin for ESEA and UGC so I expect more from the "home of competitve TF2". I posted about this before and I will do it again.

Either way I hope some UGC and ETF2L people post their nominations here.

A lot of people on this list deserve one but it's interesting how a TFTV admin is nominating stuff and not a single UGC and only one ETF2L admin is nominated :thinking:

I guess people who run the community leagues that keep the game alive don't deserve anything.

I have an item myself but yes majority of item owners have long since left the scene.

I bring this topic up as I really stopped putting a lot of effort into contributing to the game many years ago and I see people working hard in this game every day to keep it afloat go unaccredited, not just in competitive TF2 (leagues, casting organizations, content producers, LANs) but in so many other areas as well.

If Valve really do pay attention to community forums, they should know rewarded people who give their time for nothing to keep their game going with some token of gratitude is a good and popular move.

So I realised it's been a long time since anyone has gotten a community item - Does anyone know if Valve ever intend to start giving them out again?

I can think of many very worthy people who deserve a sparkly gun.
