Every single official match in every league in this game is going to use the new whitelist. Putting our personal opinions on the contents of the whitelist aside, it is a fact that the old whitelist is not the standard for competitive TF2 anymore. Clinging to a non-standard form of the game that now only exists on pugchamp just fractures the community more. If some of the weapons actually "might not work well in pugs" for some reason that only applies to pugs, then the only way to be certain of that is to actually use them in pugs.

I have spent a very long time trying to get the UMass wifi to cooperate with my video game addiction.

Apparently, the problem is caused by a big incompatibility between Windows' wifi stack and the university's wireless router setup.

The most effective solution I have found is to connect your phone to the campus wifi, then tether your computer to your phone's internet connection over USB.

Your phone will block tethering with wi-fi turned on but there are apps that can unlock it. The one I linked has a paywall but if you don't want to pay there's a way to crack it (I don't remember how).

With this you will still get ping spikes occasionally but not nearly as often as with a regular wifi card.

Idk if it even actually works in the lounges, I just saw the poster in the hallway last semester.

My parents still don't know anything about the fact that I play this game, they just hear that I "skype called with friends" from behind the closed door to my room frequently. I think part of the reason I started taking this game seriously was because it was one of very few things I could do when I lived at home without them having any idea about it.
