Hasn't it always been like this?

I was made aware of this after my first season of playing. Dad asked about a charge that shouldn't have been made, and I went back and read through the print.

I know Windows has easy-to-access IMEs; if you have another language installed in the computer (Chinese/Japanese in my case), you may accidentally hit the shortcut to start typing in another language.

If you don't have other languages installed, then try checking for background programs that also use `/~ as an input key as they might be interfering.

Last resort, as always, is to re-install.
