extracrispyso stoked about this. anyone nervous about using it with esea client?
Doesn't the guy who maintains the client browse TF.TV on occasion? Or do people usually point him to threads?

2446 days. He played L4D with friends and I in high school.
So, is this confirmed PS4 exclusive anywhere? Havn't kept up with it at all.
I realize this is literally the Playstation youtube, but I'm not sure if that means its exclusive.
That's unfortunate for you. Fortunately, you seem to be the only person who noticed a difference.
For others who don't want to search for his past thread: http://www.teamfortress.tv/26008/mat-maxframelatency
pazertl;dr: mat_maxframelatency does nothing, and the engine is already tuned optimally for lowest input latency.
Judging by the name, this controls the maximum number of frames that the cpu is allowed to be ahead of the gpu by. This value is in frames, not seconds, so it's an integer, not a float. There's no difference between 0.2 and 0.9, because they both truncate to 0.
As of 2007, this cvar wasn't hooked up to anything, and there's no reason to believe it is does anything now. I believe it was replaced by mat_frame_sync_enable (cheat, default 1) when multi-threaded rendering was added to Source (mat_queue_mode 2). In short, mat_frame_sync_enable forces the renderer to wait for the previous frame to finish before it starts on the next one.
Either way, frame syncing is designed to reduce input latency at the cost of a few fps. If you had sv_cheats 1 and decided to set mat_frame_sync_enable 0, you *might* have improved fps, but you would instead be getting (potentially large amounts of) input lag.

I really don't want to have to play against this in 6v6, too.
It lets you come in at awkward angles that unless you're positioned to defend against are incredibly difficult to stop. And that's with a heavy, mini-sentry and a pyro present. Even if you immediately draw the aggression of both scouts, you're making room for the rest of your team to do something, but in a much safer fashion than a quick bomb that costs your life. It is not fun at all to try to play against.
alias wheel_up "+jump"
alias wheel_down "+jump"
alias wheel_jump "alias wheel_up +jump; alias wheel_down +jump; alias wheel_toggle wheel_wep"
alias wheel_wep "alias wheel_up invnext; alias wheel_down invprev; alias wheel_toggle wheel_jump"
alias wheel_toggle wheel_wep
bind mwheelup wheel_up
bind mwheeldown wheel_down
bind mouse3 wheel_toggle
Written to avoid nested binds/be easier to edit in the future should you want to change it. Toggle is on mouse3, can change that to whatever key you feel is better though. The initial aliasing of wheel_up and wheel_down are what the keys default to.
Reset code:
bind mwheelup +jump
bind mwheeldown +jump
bind mouse3 +attack3
Phoenix21I don't know why, but I tried it 2 days ago and it was literally unplayable.
I got about 30-60 fps in dm while I get 120-200 with dx81
I wouldn't mind playing it if not the fps issue.
Try setting mat_picmip set to -1. It seems when you make the skins lower quality its way worse than not.
deetrI don't play dota but I have seen people with different huds on streams so I think you can do it but I'm not sure how.
The huds are actually unlocks in dota: http://dota2.gamepedia.com/HUD_Skins
Doubt they'd do this with TF2 huds though.
PendjiDefinitely an improvement over the stock dot I've been using, but man. It's like 0.5% off and that's gonna fuck me up forever.
Mess around with wide/tall, and try changing between even/odd font size (20/21 for example) and you should be able to perfectly center it.
-running with -dxlevel 81 for a tad extra performance. (this disables weapon shines and the gunmetal skins. This will also change the lighting in game) THIS CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR CERTAIN GPU’S. If you experience crashes change the -dxlevel to 90
It's probably worth mentioning that some people just get better framerates on dx9 with mat_picmip -1. It's definitely worth testing for each individual user rather than completely writing it off and saying "use dx8". Not only that, but different dx9 settings will also change results. Personally it goes like this: dxlevel 95 > dxlevel 81 > dxlevel 90 > dxlevel 98. I couldn't tell you exactly what's different or why, but its at least notable.
My client just went "initializing" and appeared to download something, only to tell me I'm not invited yet afterward.
What a tease...
mathsadnew wave, check your bnet/email. they're flagging right now (not done yet so wait until a tweet from @PlayOverwatch).
You'd best not be lying, now
dflamehis donks are fucking scary
