I had the pleasure of playing with Grape for the latter half of my first real season of open. He was on pocket, and while his calls were somewhat lacking when he first joined, his decision-making and coordination as a leading member of the team improved immensely over the time he was pocketing, which speaks volumes about his attitude as a player. Despite the fact that he was playing down a division and basically offclassing on my team, he never tilted, didn't lord his status as a Good Player over us during team discussions, and played each match with the intention of winning and improving as a player. His DM is obviously good, but that wasn't the main thing I took away from the season. It is an increasing rarity in this game to find a team of 6 players who all have a positive attitude, the ability and intent to improve, and a willingness to commit to playing with a team, and Grape fits all of those attributes. If you care about the advancement of your team and you legitimately enjoy playing this game, pick him up. Fuck, pick him up on a better team than he "deserves," he'll be as good as he needs to be in less than a season.

Shoutouts to friday pugs, one of my highlights of the LAN. Honestly, everyone was extremely nice and I wish I had more time to hang out with and meet people. I only got a chance to talk with a couple people for most of the time I was there, but it was still extremely fun, and I'm very much looking forward to having the opportunity to do this again in the future.

So I'm playing scout in my first season of open coming up. I predict that there will be at least one match in which I have to face a Gunslinger Engie, a Natascha Heavy, two Atomizer Scouts, a Loch-and Load demo, and a medic who arrow builds in 25 seconds with the Zatoichi demo. Would someone do me the favor of coming over to my house and ending my fucking life before this season starts?
