Would be nice if we could port this over to the comp.tf wiki. It's much easier to format and you can even use sorted tables and the likes.

Wondering if the killstreak variable is also customizable. There isn't any mention of it in the changelogs
We're working on a mandatory update for TF2. We should have it ready soon. The release notes are below.

hookyWhy is the history bar covering the video?
Looks very nice otherwise.
My original intention was to have a neat background video on the history but the actual teaser video I edited was a bit more than a background video so it didn't work as well. Fixed it now.
cirloHaving a hub that keep track of ALL the matches that happens (and not only those covered) it's pretty much something i've always felt the need, as much as more articles about game/matches/future events or whatever. I just don't see the need of another forum. I think the fact the after a lot of years we managed to have big centralized forum is really important, it's just that. Other then that i support 100% your project as i see it as something needed, thanks!
(P.S. there are just some little things to polish it a bit, even if it's already looking great. [reworking the spaces and make it "smaller" on higher resolutions; i like it at 90/80% with 1920x1080])
We actually have some WIP template on the wiki for matches, similar to liquipedia latest matches template (http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/Liquipedia:Upcoming_and_ongoing_matches), we're working (actually ffc is the man behind it) on adapting that to our wiki, and eventually it might even replace the current event thingy on the main site.
As for the forum, I didn't want to have generic wordpress comments, and I wanted to have a small place for discussion, after I saw thespire forum, I noticed it was a bit lackluster (bbpress, which I initially also implemented) I decided we needed a bit more than that. I found this really good platform that integrates apparently very well with wordpress and decided to give it a try and it ended up being much more amazing that I expected and I planned a full fledged forum around it. I think it's really user friendly and it has a lot of really cool features like PMs, reactions, activity feed, extra customizable and formatting options. So Im really happy with that. I know tftv is already the "to-go" forum for discussing competitive, but theres still a bit of segregation from other gamemodes and we want to be accepting of all of them and hope it can bring some activity to our forum.
cirloGood job, I love everything there is in it!
I just hope that you and the spire can work together (maybe with Backcap too). I'm a bit afraid of this recent fragmentation, we need to be all together (and not decentralized) now more then ever.
My reasoning was that through the Comptf competitive wiki and our youtube channel we had already built a very good brand within the tf2 community. We wanted to take advantage of that brand and userbase and expand on that, so I started testing the waters and reaching out to people when MM started being officially announced (before it was released). Buttnose was one of the people I contacted, as were many others, he was already leading another similar project which was also very early on, I tried to get him to understand my vision so we could work together, my only "condition" was to take advantage of the comp.tf brand and use our domain (which I think it's very valuable itself as its short and relevant). He didn't share my vision and said he wanted to remain with an independent project, I accepted that and kept working on this. I'm still open to work together with him and all his team tho, I think since tftv has positioned itself in such a way it will cover only high level 6s, we can fill the void for all the other competitive gamemodes and skill levels, without fracturing the community too much or even being a direct competitor to tftv.
Regarding backcap, it was already part of our project once and shounic, unfortunately for us, decided to part ways, I think it's an amazing series and would love to have it over on comptf again, but I don't think it will happen tbh.
edit: the wiki's not working properly, at the moment Im unsure this is due to the high server load from the site or a misconfiguration on my part, Im working on it tho

http://comp.tf/site/283/welcome-to-the-new-comp-tf/
This is something that has been in the works for months now, ever since last year I've been reaching out to people to test the waters for this idea. I actually got in contact with Buttnose way before thespire was launched so we could work on the project together, but he wanted to remain independent so it didnt work out in the end. I wanted to expand the project nonetheless so I decided to continue with the idea I had and here it is.
The aim with the site is to offer a place of discussion and coverage for everything comp tf2,from Highlander to 6v6, from Prem to Open. Since tftv stopped covering lower divisions and other gamemodes I've felt this was a huge open market ready to be explored with such a huge and diverse community. And we want to fill that void. That is our premise.
So here it is. I wont get much more into it because the last few weeks have been hell preparing all of this while juggling other responsibilities and I just want to finally get it out to the world. Best you visit the site and see for yourself.
Play with your flank. Your spy buddy can be a huge help if you guys have good chemistry. On my latest HL teams as soldier, both V3 and The Experiment (also on the nations cup) the Spy was probably the player I had more chemistry with, coordinating with calls, distraction, bombs, or just getting out of situations you should have died. This can be different for other Soldiers but I feel I gained a lot from working with my spy.
You don't really need more heals, you can get packs, and also, you will be stealing precious heal from your combo classes if you do so. Of course before a coordinated bomb or something its always useful to ask for a full buff but dont pester your medic just because you're dying a lot.
Abuse unlocks. Seriously, HL has so much margin for using unlocks to a very efficient degree (DH against sentries or even when you aren't able to get space to spam freely) , (Concheror for a more sustainable but passive play), etc...
Also dont die mindlessly, Soldier has a huge spamming potential, specially in HL with 9 players. There's so much easy damage to farm, a lot of the times is just best to use secure passive positions to spam out enemies instead of jumping in and dying.
That's some of the stuff I can remember. Since I also transitioned from Roamer to HL Soldier (used to play demo).
pintoKanecoPinto means little chicken and it is indeed a very popular last name in Portugal, my best friend name is Pinto.
it means penis in brazilian dialect lol
I know lol Im aware of the differences, I work with like 5 brazilian guys. It doesn't bother me, it has 0 negative connotation in Portugal. Much like Veado which in Portugal is simply Deer while in Brazil is also slang for faggot.
pintoDougI wonder what you would feel if you knew what your name means in portuguese...
I'm aware and (i think) it only means that in Brazilian dialect
Pinto is a popular last name in Portugal believe it or not

SchweppesTripel Karmeliet
Golden Dragon
I've never really tried those but so much head looks disgusting tbh.
hoolishift master race
I have always used shift as well but I regret it so much now. It's complete aids when playing other games specially when shift is a movement key (for sprinting, or in the case of CS, to walk)
And it doens't really work to change push to talk because I've grown so used to it that I even press it when using voice activation.
Sideshowtell him to use voice activation and he'll never look back again
but then how will you rage at your team without looking like an asshole
No one has mentioned it yet but It's one of the most impressive so far. At least in terms of prizepool.
kustom3 (or k3) the medic for the old Punchline team (the all star french prem team) has qualified with Torpedo Gaming for the Paladins $100K Founders Tournament at Dreamhack summer. As the first seed nonetheless and his team appears to have a 92% winning rate so far in the weekly tournaments from what I've read.
I played a couple of games with him and his would be team very early into the beta last year, and it was noticeable he was very keen on it, glad it worked out. Guess I should have put some time on it as well ;__;
Are we talking non alcoholic only?
Cuz apart from water my favorites are a good portuguese wine.
