#25 What do you look for in a frag video? in Videos

I know this sounds kinda cheesy but it's very important to keep edits your own. As in, your creative/artistic vision, not somebody elses.

For me personally, I have a very clean editing style, I don't like over the top edits or color correction and I just try to keep the frag as understandable as possible, and I put more of my vision into the song sync, clip cutting and transitions, not to say I wouldn't deviate from this; i've done it plenty of times for PotD but it depends on the frag, mood of the song, smooth, etc... Usually I just let the frag speak for itself. As a viewer I know how to appreciate more flashy edits tho as I know how much work they take.

I would say the single most underrated thing a lot of people editing videos disregard is clip cutting. It's the one thing that can transform the entire pace of a fragmovie and keep it super tight if done right. I've seen it so many times, even on major tf2 channels, clips ending too long after the frag, or starting too early into the frag and it really bothers me.

If it's a fragmovie (not a fragclip) we're talking about for me the biggest factor in enjoyment is the song. I usually plan my entire workflow (after recording) based on the song. Because a good song (or a song used in the right way) will link the frags smoothly and keep a very nice vibe to a movie. Syncing the song with the frags is a must (or should be) even if it's just major anchor points in the song, even if the frags are already good, the song can complement them even more and take it to an other level. Last but not least a good song choice is what makes a fragmovie memorable, you will be able to remember it in your head for ages, that feeling is even better if you don't know the artist or song and you get hooked to it because of that fragmovie. I still can remember watching Pop Culture by Cla for the first time, it was the first time I heard madeon as well, and watching such a work of art in front of me was a fantastic experience, both frags, editing and music.

#8 Best TF2 Game Ever? in TF2 General Discussion
WARHURYEAHIm vs Border i49
Im vs mix^ i52
Epsilon vs. Mix^ i52 (both bo3)
nR vs 4G upper bracket finals.

Basically this. The nR vs 4G upper bracket finals for i55 was probably the best bo3 I have ever seen in tf2. There have been better singular maps in the history of competitive but as a whole bo3 series for me that one tops the chart. All 3 maps were amazing and a constant fragmovie.

Im vs Mix on i52 on snakewater was fuckin nuts, I don't think I have seen so many airshots in single map (at least until this i series)

CondescendingCandlestickIM vs TCM at i49 was the most hype I have ever been for a game of tf2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkf_duowRrE

This one was pretty much one of the best singular maps that I have seen in tf2. down 4-0 with 8? mins left TCM make a comeback for the history books finishing the game 6-4

Also not really a whole game but the single best round I have seen in tf2 (ok the 30mins round of reason vs ascent on i55 was pretty good but for me this one tops the charts)
https://youtu.be/W5Vk_0_atuc?t=28m30s
On etf2l S9 Grand Finals TCM was down 1 round against tT esports and on their last with 1 min left and they managed to push out all the way to tTesports last to tie the game with 0 seconds remaining and take the game to a 3rd map. Amazing teamplay.

#104 b4nny beef in TF2 General Discussion
SpaceCadetThere is a difference between giving a reason for a loss and making an excuse for a loss. He rightly laughed in his face for saying the team was"not experienced and only 3 months together". Give me a break, each player on that team has tons of experience.

Could b4nny have done nothing at all? Sure he could have but making excuses is a way of talking shit, so I don't have any problem with his reaction at all.

I got disappointed because Knoxxx is one of my favorite players, and I always saw him as a respectful and stand up guy and it was hard for me to take that cool.

Also I think he was giving a complete real and relevant reason (heh) to why they didn't win, sure Mike and Knoxxx have plenty lan experience and experience playing together. but that's just 1/3 of the team, and they weren't even playing together in the combo. It was the first lan ever for Hafficool, kaptain and forsak3n iirc, half the team was their first lan. Also it's true they were playing together just for 2 months as they were brought in mid season, and forsak3n was brough in weeks before lan since they couldn't find a lanable scout. So I think that's a perfect reasonable answer to the interviewer question, I don't even think he was using that as an excuse, he was saying he picked badlands because regardless of team chemistry it's a map everyone always knows how to play.

And team chemistry does play a big part, how can you argue that b4nny's team that have been together for some form or another (barring 1 or 2 players replacements) for more than 1 year, 4+ lans and 3 seasons aren't more experienced as a team compared to reason where half their team was their first lan and have been playing together for 2 months with that roster.

And he just laughed in his face I was like wtf... that felt so unconfortable... Wasn't the best decision to have both teams together for interviews but still that was totally unnecessary and rude.

duwatnaI have zero idea what you are talking about. Never heard anything even remotely close to that?????

They tuned to in-game comms on your team in some game you were winning (I dont really remember which one) with like 5 mins left and someone said that, not sure who. Not really bm imo, team comms can get heated and emotional, specially at this level, and its understandable

DeathyKanecoCheap Hotels are like $50-60 here but you probably can get an hostel or something for like 15-20$ and you can drink at 16 ;)

Also beer from 50cents onwards

you can drink at 16?? damn... and I thought I was special with my 18 drinking age

But you can only have a drivers license at 18. I mean it makes more sense, why would you be responsible enough to stand behind the wheel of a 1+ ton car but not to drink a few beers?

Also you can buy beer cheap as fuck, cheapest is like 90cents/liter. I prefer wine tho.

SaraDeathyyou can drink at 16?? damn... and I thought I was special with my 18 drinking agecome to italy and you can drink at 12

Not legally tho :P I think it's the same as in Portugal.

SnazHallowSurely the exchange rates don't tell the full story though? I mean, for a lan you want cheap taxis, food and alcohol. The UK is for swedes very expensive right now, but those three as still cheaper there than at home.
Cheap hotels in my city are $89 and you can drink when you're 18 here.
