cre-8Playermovement (a newbie mix team drive team) legit demoted me from main demo to a sub and I left their team. Imma wait for season 4 now
Reflect on why you think your team moved you to sub (no need to share why here) and try to make adjustments for next season. You guys did well this season! Keep your momentum going with an amateur team next go-around.

I was for sure about to spend 20 bucks on 4 cans of beer, too
imagine your privilege and ignorance intersecting in a way which makes you think you know more about pandemics than epidemiologists because you read some alt right blogs and watched a youtube video
it must be nice being so fucking stupid holy shit
denisbit13<pointlessly cruel, mod-deleted comment>
idk why i would find and contact an admin of a league i literally dont play in instead of just asking the question on the forums, where there are tons of people (including admins) who can answer my question
pls stop projecting your attention craving on me. not everyone is you
denisbit13hmmm maybe ask admins xD instead of posting for upfrags on tftv
i'm not playing in the league i was just curious. i said that in my post

this is the team i'm coaching for the newbie team drive this season. they're pretty great guys and have obviously worked really hard to go straight into amateur as a newbie team.
why are they (at 2 seed) matched up against the 14th seed?
all while the no 1 seed is matched up against the 7th seed?
it seems to me that if the no 1 & 2 seed haven't played each other yet... that's a match that should definitely happen, right?
is this the result of some automated system? if it is, what's up with it?
i know there is probably a totally rational answer to a lot of these questions, and i'm not asking them from a place of malice. it just seems super bizarre. i haven't played in rgl, so i can't give my newbies the answers to these questions that i'd like to
24also voice quality you really can't distinguish unless you really pay attention
this may be true for you and others, but i get headaches from the conference-call/early 2010s-skype quality that discord has. i honestly don't know how it doesn't bother more people other than that people just haven't used anything better (hence, i make the better thing free)
the fact that people are comming with worse quality now than we were back in 2008 is insane
i use discord all the time for organizing things, communicating with the newbie mix community, etc., but the voice quality (and overlay) are genuinely terrible.
I made some mumble servers for anyone to use.

CaptainZidgelGood stuff, may be worth putting a Mumble URL on the Mumble connect guide as a further means of entrance for newcomers.
definitely something i've considered. one of the things we're trying to teach is also the skills to use things utilized throughout the competitive community (mumble connections, connect strings, etc)
The newbie mix staff is coming off the heels of a really successful team drive and an uptick from our regular weekly mix players. I took a little bit of downtime I had from a lack of video editing work I've been getting to make some very basic resources for newbies.
We have a website, our own dedicated servers (for the first time since we were let go by sponsors), and three very basic videos to make the transition from pubs to newbie mixes easy. If you're interested in helping out with server costs, feel free to reach out to me. Otherwise, feel free to put "newbie.tf" in your username if your are an NA player. Thanks!
