not sure what mumble settings you/ur buds are/were using, but i've never experienced blown-out mids when configured properly on both ends

discords audio quality is fine in many situations, i should not have lumped it with overlay in my description of things that are objectively "terrible" as it has definitely improved since the early days of its use

but when many people are comming at once (when audio quality is most important), it can get real rough, especially at peak use hours (the literal only time we use it for scrims)

combination of exam stress and hard disk failure led to many of the presentations for that event being lost, unfortunately.

some of them exist somewhere out there, i'm sure. the course admin/ TA-type folks local recorded mumble audio to every class, but not all of them were saved (including some of the TFTV stream stuff, unfortunately)
