funhaver1998do you think the resolution has practical benefits moreso than just aesthetics?
for non-gaming, yes. 1440p is a minimum for me with new displays.
for tf2, i find it much easier to play with a crisper, more easily decipherable image. it's not an objective upgrade (see: b4nny res works real good for him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), but a preference. my preference is being able to easily see anything, even if it's super far away (like on process seeing a sniper on their second deep from their mid forward spawn, for example)
i'm also able to run 1440p games at 144fps+ constant because i'm lucky to have a great pc (video editing freelance work necessity). in teamfights (or god forbit pubs) most machines won't quite get there unless your specs are pretty balled out

re: 240hz v 360hz, you are pretty deep into diminishing returns at that point. the jump from 120 to 240 is way more pronounced than the jump from 240 to 360, even though it's the same amount of additional frames per second. frame times start to get way way closer
60 fps 16.7ms per frame
120 fps 8.3ms per frame (~8 ms improvement, huge deal)
240 fps 4.2 ms per frame (~4 ms improvement, p good improvement)
360 fps 2.8ms per frame (~2 ms improvement. meh)
480 fps 2.2 ms per frame (hypothetical, ~1 ms improvement, rofl)
keeping in mind that peak, absolute-best reaction time for humans is like 100ms, it's getting to a point of almost no real-world benefit
