I've been running this config on a dual-core cpu for the last two months without any problems, with r_queued_decals and cl_threaded_bone_setup to 0, however I was running on mat_queue_mode 2. I've changed this to -1 now as you recommended but wanted to ask whether it is absolutely necessary to do so as I feel like I got better performance with it set to 2. Thanks!

<(°) le budget toucan has arrived
fm gonna take this easily
this will make me read threads I don't even want to read so the number goes away
Turn off mouse accel/enable raw input
Find a sens you're comfortable with (projectile classes and medics generally prefer higher sensitivities while hitscan classes go for lower ones, but that's completely up to you
As other have said, practice and remember there's more to this game than aim
Ninjaxi edited the particle removal vpk to make rockets look brighter, here it is in case anyone wants to try it http://puu.sh/fb941/317e069d3b.vpk
Rockets are very visible, thanks! What particles does it remove?
ClownBrainshow do u use fogs/garmens/kons crosshairs??
That depends which version of yahud you are on, but crosshairs are usually defined in scripts/hudlayout.res, have a look there first. You can activate them by setting "visible" to "1".
ghettofishYou are so retarded it is unbelievable.
I'd say movement and positioning has a lot to do with being unpredictable. If the enemy knows what you are doing and where you are going, you're going to have a much harder time. I don't know much about Spy, but I remember this trick of cloaking and then immediately switching direction so the enemy doesn't know where you are going.
Map knowledge is key, know where players normally are and take a look at various little jumps that you can do to get someplace you didn't know you could or to open up a different flanking route.
Your best bet is to have a plan in mind beforehand instead of having to hastily make one up on the go. Also, don't go for trickstabs and flashy plays all the time, what makes people good is helping their team and playing consistently
Why are you more important than everyone else?
moofok i dont mean to revive a dinosaur thread but what hud is in the OP
MytagTF2I'll just go straight to point. I have enabled my Advanced 6v6 scoreboard and it's on my right side of screen. I want it to be on left side instead, is there anything like console command or I need to mod my HUD somehow (I'm using eve hud) to change it?
come on now
Some more links that might be useful for you:
ETF2L 6v6 Guide
ETF2L Highlander Guide
Those explain how etf2l works and how to get started. TF2Center is great for starting comp as well, however it requires you to have played the game for 100 hours. You can use those to work on your aim in MGE-Servers and practice Jumping on Jump-Servers (if that's relevant for the class you play)
For every question you may have about competitive 6v6, feel free to refer to that list I made, which has already been linked. It includes lots of resources and is definitely worth a read.
Watching casts of competitive games can also make you understand the game more.
And to end this post: Welcome to the competitive side of Team Fortress 2! If you have more questions, you can ask them on these forums or add me and I'll be glad to help
HerganninjajironinjajiroHow do I move the paint icon down?
Screenshot: here.
Any help with this? It's pretty annoying :/
I don't think it's possible
If it's not movable, I guess you could try moving/removing the "player x is carrying" bit, don't know if that's possible though
hooliturn off steam overlay
Does that still improve fps? I remember it used to have a huge impact or something but I remember hearing about that being fixed
- added Pyyyour's Strategy Sessions, an Analysis by Buick and some more TF2 Youtube Channels
- This list has become so huge that I am no longer able to fit it into 2 posts, therefore it now stretches across Posts #1, #3 and #5, I used this change to clean up the sections a bit and group them appropriately.
I'm pretty sure some very good guides and youtube channels are still missing, would be great if someone could link me to them. I also plan on adding 2 new categories soon, including Broadcasts and Relevant Websites. If you have any suggestions for those, please let me know!
I'd be up for it
