Daggereeedoing a phd in a country that is trying really hard to cut itself off from half the scientific world seems like a bad move, sorry :(leaving the EU = cutting yourself off from science????
Something ridiculous like 90% of non university scientific funding came from the EU. Now we are losing that, and the government hasn't said anything about compensating for the resulting funding.
The UK is not really leading in any field apart from pharmaceutical, so the UK in the past used to rely on joining consortia (consotiums?) (such as Airbus in the Eurofighter project), and now that we are leaving the EU, there is a evident lack of both structure, funding and contingency plans for this process. Its a fucking shambles. The government hasn't even done any research or investigations into how Brexit will affect the UK economy.
