I think this is pretty awesome to see, especially for invite players as it is now cheaper to play for the same price pool which will 1. Bring more sponsors into the game, as they usually balk at the initial price of fees 2. Alot of teams will be able to try their hand at invite, which may mean a larger invite season for S27?
yerLerbIs Rewind 2 all the same games as Rewind 1? Or is Rewind 2 TF2-only?
Cause either way is really cool, but a TF2-only LAN might be a little bit extra cool.
Also is there any word on the prize money yet? I forget whether it was wholly or prtially crowd funded last time or whatever but a thicc prize pool is always good to get the hype juices flowing.
Why don't we let Valve make a $1 million dollar major like they do for CSGO? /s

I've been found out
Mmmm hope we get some habib vlogs
Greatest Performances of all time:
1. Wilt Chamberlain 100 point game
2. US men's hockey team in the 1980 Winter Games (Miracle on Ice)
3. Meyy perfect game against knuck and co.
I hope in the next update Valve really thinks about adding a competitive case, much like how csgo received esports cases during he early stages of competitive CSGO. As the team is currently releasing community content, just slap the title "Esports Winter Case" on it and say 50% goes to a REWIND prize pool or something like that. That's how you can easily connect the trading and competitive communities while also buffing the prize pool.
Ah I see now, Valve delayed the update to allow this match to be played without server issues. Valve are so considerate :D
Thanks Valve!
Can't wait :D

Tino_Yeah not to keen on reliving the QF bullshit or going farther back, the Nat-pocalypse. Its not fun for anyone, specs included.

While I do know I no next to nothing about how meta works or comp tf2 in general (people who were unfortunate enough to be in my pugchamp lobbies would know) isn't this a bit similar to what we have now, stalemates that usually go on for 3-8 minutes?
SpaceCadetJarlowI really disagree with the usual idea that anything new should immediately be added to the whitelist, as this leaves the same game relatively stale for the casual spectator (me). Now, I'm not saying that we should leave OP weapons in, but there should be testing concerning the new weapons.
New items should be banned until they can be properly tested.
New items can and have influenced match results and the worst time to test new items is in the middle of the season.
What makes you think there isn't going to be weapon testing for 6's?
Agreed, however how long does the proper testing usually last? Personally, I would love to see the new pyro and weapons by playoffs time where everyone can see the new pyro in play competitively, which will 1. Bring some new viewers to the comp scene and 2. Create a fresh new meta
