If they're going to ban one pickup, then they should ban ALL pickups. For all we know Valve is intending this to be part of their metagame, and us flipping tables over it is just one example in a long line of them of us not liking what they're giving.
Is it imperfect? Absolutely, it could and probably will be improved (uber decay, perhaps?). But immediately banning it only part of the way isn't the answer at all (if anything, if I'm a team captain with server pick I'm not playing on a SourceMod server with that loophole in the prescribed rule present).
PyromancerDo you think the new Powerhosue map could ever be used in competive? I don't think hl would be good for it but maybe 6s?
It plays like a 5cp map, hell it even has spots where 2nd would be (the holes where the rocket is sitting in). But it feels like they took those two points out to keep from having to redo last and create backspawns for it.
HOWEVER: If you switch to a different weapon before you die, you don't drop the medigun, therefore all is well.

It's tied to item servers, which are SNAFU right now
Halftime was an ESEA construct so they didn't need to totally rewrite their plugins for TF2, IIRC.
That being said, removing halftime is a way of taking 5-10 empty minutes out of a match and use it for playtime.
