Game Crashes on map change

Every time I play the game, i can easily join a server, and as the map changes, as soon as i reach "retrieving server info", the game freezes for a bit then crashes. I don't know what is causing this.
Here's what iv'e tried to fix this issue:
- removing everything from my custom folder
- adding -autoconfig to my launch options
- verifying the integrity of the game files
- re-installing the whole game
- Setting Steam Server browser pings/minute to 250 (minimum)
OS: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) x86_64
