#23 demo call in TF2 General Discussion
tayLucky_ShotHey i'm making a one minute clip just t work on editing. It's somewhat close to done. Would you mind if i took one or two of these demos? Its totally fine if you're using them all.they really aren't my demos to give out, sorry. after i'm done i'll tell you which ones i haven't used and you're more than welcome to ask the player who submitted, but i honestly don't feel comfortable giving them away when they simply aren't my frags.

Completely understandable. Thanks for the quick response.

#1 Mouse Wheel Issues in Hardware

My mouse broke on the spot. It was a kinda shitty wireless logitech mouse not meant for gaming but it got the job done. I went to staples and picked up some random mouse. It works fine, only problem is the mouse wheel has no "ticks" i guess you could say. It doesn't stop, it just rolls. Scroll wheel is how I change weapons in tf2 and this is pretty annoying. Is there any way to fix this or will i have to get a new mouse (which isn't really a big deal)

DeathySincing the music with the frags more would have been a huge plus, other than that good frag movie.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks

deadmau5Lower the volume on the slow-mo clips, it sounds weird :x
Did you use custom particles for some clips?

Forgot to lock to stretch a few. Sorry about that!

NoophThe color correction is good overall, although at some points it was a tad bit too dark (2:00) or saturated (3:15). The editing seems a little bit inconsistent with some parts lasting too long and some parts jumping around. Other than that, though, it's a good video, and it's a big improvement as others have also said.

Thanks. I'll keep the other things in mind.

Toonisome observations

use cl_drawhud 0 for smooths and thirdperson clips.

Make sure the crosshair is consistent, sometimes it was showing and other times it wasn't.

I'd recommend against using pldx particles for rocket trails and the like, they've been used so often in videos to the point that they seem tacky.

The cc was way too dark for the snakewater clips.

The way the sound was elongated in the slo mo parts sounded quite horrible, you probs ought to just remove the sound on clips like that

Yea i forgot to lock to stretch a few of them. Thanks for the other recommendations!

#17 New Frag Movie in TF2 General Discussion
NoonaI was a fan of the frags, but I feel as if the editing ruined it a bit for me.

The transitions felt very forced; Especially when it switched from first to third person. The timing on those were very random and weren't sync'ed which bugged me a little bit.

Another thing that bugged me a bit was how when a good frag was shown and then it was replayed from a different perspective. Felt strange watching the same thing twice. I would have just made it within the same time frame rather than going back and replaying it. And the music got a little annoying at one point.

Besides that I enjoyed it and it is a MAJOR improvement from your previous vids. Best of luck to you and your future editing :)

Thanks for the tips. I too agree that the 3rd person got a little bit annoying and it was in fact random. Not sure what you mean about the replayed from a different perspective thing, unless you're talking about the smooths which at times were very boring. Thanks for the input!

Cloudmaker2Lucky_ShotCloudmaker2The video seems stretched to me and the slow-mo parts sound weird. Overall loved the video.Yea I think there was something wrong with the aspect ratio. Not sure whats wrong with the slow mo parts. Thanks for the feedbackAlso on the snakewater part, the color correction made it a bit dark and was hard to see.

Yes. Agree. Still trying to get down the cc on snakewater. It always seems to dark or too light.
