#12 games for bad pc in Off Topic

Have a look at GoG (though probably not the newer games), since they are mostly old games their system requirements tend to be minimal.

Some fun old-ish games with minimal requirements not on GoG:
Jazz Jackrabbit 2
Alien Shooter (I & II)
Fable: The Lost Chapters
Enclave

Newer games (I can't guarantee these will run well, but most probably will):
Frozen Synapse
Papers, Please
Spelunky
Mark of the Ninja
The Banner Saga

#76 Music in TF2 General Discussion
gardenI find it quite hard to concentrate, so I never listen while mixing or scrimming, but when I mge/dm I like to have either ambient or classical. I find it genuinely helps me focus
some examples of this
if anyone listens to similar stuff and has recommendations, hit me up

I primarily listen to classical music and I favorite classical pieces by
Bach
Vivaldi
Dvorak
Bach
and Chopin
on youtube all the time. If you'd like, I can give you a link to my favorites. I noticed you linked Arvo Part, so if you want some suggestions more along the lines of modern sacred music, I can help you out there as well.

I try to keep my suggestion lists short because nobody wants to wade through piles of links, but I've noticed people tend to like my previous suggestions. Feel free to add me on steam or pm me on tftv if you like stuff I've suggested previously and I'll see if I can help you out further!

#42 Music in TF2 General Discussion

I figured for the sake of brevity I would separate my metal recommendations from my others

Angra
Opeth
Sonata Arctica
Symphony X
Wintersun

It pains me to limit this list to only 5 bands and 5 songs, but let's be real here, nobody is going to listen to all these as it is.

You should see if you like

Caravan Palace
Fleet Foxes
Jose Gonzalez

I mostly listen to power/prog metal and classical music, but I like other random random stuff such as electroswing (Caravan Palace) and some folky artists.

#65 The Keyboard Thread (last updated Sep. 24, 2013) in Hardware

Anybody know if there is a mechanical keyboard that fits the following constraints:

-Noise is a pretty serious concern (I'm thinking browns with o-rings or pads?)
-I code about 3x as much as I game, so typing accuracy and comfort takes priority
-Maximum of around $150, but I could go more or less if there's a compelling reason
-10keyless since I always smash my mouse into the right side of my current keyboard
-Solid build quality and good warranty
-Media keys would be nice to have but not totally necessary

#55 Do you PUG? Why/Why Not? in TF2 General Discussion
cyzerSo what you're saying is you'd rather invite pugs happen separately instead of a chance to play with the invite scene?

If it means sub-IM players won't get 24/7 fatkidded on pug.na, then yes, absolutely.

If you want to encourage people to add up to the ircs, there should be some sort of system that makes sure they won't waste hours of their time because nobody wants to pick them.

rayspugs are the most fun I've had in an organized but laid back competitive environment

#2 Fantasy TV show recommendations in Off Topic

I've been hooked on Merlin recently. It has its sappy moments, but on the whole it's very well-acted and produced.
