So the company I work for have been looking at getting into the esports market and I've been chatting with a few of the senior sales guys about ESEA, Insomnia, and now Dreamhack.
Nothing is confirmed yet, but basically we'd be looking at producing some items for sale related to DH or i58 in the future, something that would be customised with the event logo, team name, and in game nickname for example.

So far I've asked a few people if that's something they'd consider buying and if so how much.
Seeing as the poster has just been revealed and is the exact type of thing we'd be looking to produce (With TFTV/DH/Multiplay/etc. involved if possible), I thought I'd open the question out to the larger TF2 community.
Note: I'm not going to steal the poster design and say "hey let's make these and sell them", it's just something of this quality, and overall feel.

Additionally, I'm not going to DH myself, but it would be great if someone that is going could tell me the type of merchandise DH offers, and what gaps are missing. For example, i55 didn't have any personalised things that I found but generic mario/sonic hats for example.
Something that's more personal to the individual like a team hoodie/scarfs/badges etc. That's the type of item we're going for.

I hate this part the most, especailly as we spent 2 days travelling but even the travelling was fun, similar feels to backpacking.

But here's where I both agree/disagree with you.

On one hand more teams would be great for the competition, we could have an invite group and a double elimination bracket and a tournament style more like Insomnia.

But DeutschLAN as an experience was completely different to i55. We had BBQs, drinking, cooking and even sleeping in the same house. Insomnia always feels like I'm attending an event whereas at DeutschLAN I was living upstairs from my PC and next to my team mates. Having double or triple the teams would mean filling more houses but I can't help but feel with more groups I don't think I'd have enough time to go to each house like I did this year and it might feel more like an event again rather than a holiday with video games. I guess with a different tournament schedule there'd be larger breaks and time to see all the houses.
