anyone know if transparent viewmodels lower fps?
For a while now I've had this weird problem where the first person arms of my BLU demoman appear as him having the RED team color. This only happen when I'm using a grenade launcher or stickybomb launcher and not on any of the melee weapons. I have no idea how this colorization issue happened either as all I have is an fps config. I've tried deleting my tf folder and then verifying game cache but that didn't fix it, so if you've got any suggestions on how to fix this then that would be really helpful.
EDIT: I found the fix! For some reason, the no explosion smoke scipt is the reason why the bug occurs, not sure why though. I uninstalled the script and my demoman's arms were back to normal.
so are the broken and un-fixable now?
aieraMcNuggzCan someone tell me the default version of these console commands?in the future just type a command with no value it will tell you the default/max/min value
r_eyeshift_x 0
r_eyeshift_y 0
r_eyeshift_z 0
r_eyesize 0
blink_duration 0
I have switched to facial features enabled from having them disabled since I don't like the way it looks but the config doesn't show what these commands are by default so when I launched up tf2 using facial features enabled, it still had these commands set in console when I previously had facial features disabled. If someone could tell me what those commands are that would be really awesome thanks :3.
oh, I didn't realize that was a thing. thank you!

astrin_McNuggzIs there any benchmark that shows that mat_phong 0 decreases fps? (Using it with dx 9).it doesn't decrease fps. mat_phong 0 takes away the shine, giving you more fps.
also use this: http://www.teamfortress.tv/25328/comanglias-config-fps-guide
Hm, well Rhapsody said that it did decrease fps, so I was wondering if that was true.
