I'm an older player adjusting to the meta after a long hiatus. I'm looking for a team of chill people to improve alongside with in a more challenging div.
I'm actively being mentored for pocket scout, and I'd like to continue building experience in that role. I regularly practice DM with my mentors and try to grind mechanics wherever I can fit it into my day.
Previous experience:
Pocket scout starter - RGL Newcomer S4 playoffs - Zed
Scout starter - ESEA-O S16 - No Expectations
Scout starter - Scrim team - Entire Flank is Babies
Scout sub - ESEA-O S14 - snarky teamname incoming
Scout starter - ESEA-O S13 - Radical Rhinos
Scout sub - UGC Silver S11 - The Butterfly Effect
Scout starter - UGC Steel S10 - Anti-Personnel

What do I edit to change the font of the ubercharge percentage of someone healing me?
i love the jay kim in this video, can't get enough
Scrimshaw is good at video games and goes on really entertaining rants sometimes, pick him up for a good time.
I just want to necro things hard to throw my 2 cents in, plus the season's almost over and I think this thread is relevant again.
I've been playing with mana since literally the first team I've played TF2 on (UGC Steel season 10), and I've watched him evolve from a quiet guy that loved to play soldier, to the dancing, yelling, way-too-passionate-about-this-game figure that he's become. And it's great, he's a blast to be around.
His DM still needs work for high open/low IM level (he's really damn close though) but his gamesense and general knowledge of the game is above most players I know, and his dedication to this game and its community is on a higher plane than I had ever thought possible. Give him a tryout, you won't regret it.
Seriously the most enjoyable scout I've played with. Watching him improve from our first season together to now, I'd say if he dedicates himself like how Gek pointed out, within the year he'll be at the very least high open, possibly low-mid IM. Definitely worth the pickup.
manaTo go back to these prize pots...
Would anyone be willing to split them up a bit more evenly? By that, I mean definitely keeping Plat's prize pot for the top 2 (and whoever else wants to pitch in), but also have smaller pots for individual players or new and upcoming teams in Open. I know from being in Open that anyone starting in their first season usually doesn't have the goal of trying to win but trying to improve, and I think that should be rewarded for playing in Open.
If we place anywhere other than dead last in Open, I will personally mail you a large quantity of noodle soup with an MSRP value of about $20.
I've had the utmost pleasure of playing with Mana for damn near a year now, from our start in UGC 6s to our ragtag Highlander team to our first season of open, and I've never met someone as funny, charitable, and just plain enjoyable as he is in the admittedly short time I've played this game. He's flown up here to LAN, offered to send his gaming laptop to teammates with kaput computers, scoured for deals on 120hz monitors for his scouts, and purchased me large quantities of Asian noodles.
Additionally, I've seen a gargantuan improvement in his soldier play in the time we've spent playing together. His DM is pretty damn solid these days, and his decision making has improved and will most definitely continue to improve with time.
I'm currently taking things slow and playing backup for a friend's team, but I'll always miss the time we've played together. gl hf mana, ggs <3

If anyone here's looking to get into Blue Scholars I highly recommend The Long March, their self-titled album, and Cinemetropolis. Bayani's pretty alright, too.
bl4nk took his pants off on the way there.
It was pretty wacky.
