#88 AG Supports CEVO in Expanded League in TF2 General Discussion
LazyPandaAny idea how divisions would work? Would it be the same as ESEA with teams being placed in their respective divs based on esea s15 performance?
I realize this is largely based on how many teams will sign up but assuming every team in esea right now would make the move how would you guys handle it?

Either way I'm all for a new league next season. See you guys in CEVO

From CEVO has said, I think they would basically bring the divisions over as is to the extent possible.

Same. I'm down for playing in UGC, CEVO and ETF2L

Honestly, everyone already paid their stuff. Finish off the season and don't sign up again.

#25 ESEA Settles Bicoin Mining Lawsuit in Esports
KanecoI would imagine this is still a huge chunk of esea's revenue, will they even manage to keep operating as normal?

Someone on /r/GlobalOffensive did the math based on statistics they release about the number of premium players and said that they are probably pulling in 1.3 million a year. After paying for servers, employees etc... 350k is a big chunk of change but likely not company ruining (especially if they have savings)

frknMerchantfrknwoo no more prize pot raises???
IIRC the prize pot is from league fees and all else (including this) is from premium.

it would be easy for them to make a business decision not to increase the prize pot even if league fee income icnreases. afaik there is no requirement for them to do otherwise.

Pretty shitty business decision that would piss people off, although yes it is ESEA. 350k is a big chunk of change for ESEA, but not that big.

PenguinNinja1408Story here.

$1 million settlement scaling down to $350,000 over 10 years if conditions are met.

Wrong. 350k now, 650k if they fuck up again in the next 10 years.

clorgso what about the people who got fucked over? ie the people who's computers were damaged from bitcoin mining

There was a compensation system set up for them and a class action lawsuit in California that is on going.

IIRC the prize pot is from league fees and all else (including this) is from premium.

#16 Possible demo system update? in TF2 General Discussion

Recently I have been playing CS:GO more and more and just the sheer amount of things that are just better for it then TF2 is insane. Built in pug system, better method of supporting community maps, keys to fund competitive events, overall better balance, extremely better spectating-TF2 looks like this

by default and cs:go looks like this

Simple things even like the demo system could be so easily added.

#9 ESEA League Season 15 Prize Breakdown in TF2 General Discussion
elliott_MerchantreillyThat's a pretty impressive first place for main.
Yeah, arguably too big. Why would you want to play invite where you lose money expect if you place 1st, 2nd or maaaybe 3rd when you can make 200$ each in main?
why would you play tf2 for the money? $200 a season is like $.10 an hour over a season

True, but of course you flat out lose money if you play Invite. There were some good points made about the competition etc..

#333 ESEA S15 NA Invite Happenings/Predictions in TF2 General Discussion
rr-ruwin wasnt even a backup, after we were done trying him out on scout, he never joined our mumble again. i figure he wont play because of his insane school schedule though. at most i'd say hes roster riding, unless he pays up on esea.

I thought he just was a back up for last season and never left the roster.
