I havent read through anything so i dont know if this has already been mentioned. Our scout was having issues with this during our viaduct match. He figured out that it was mumble and simply installed an older version of mumble.

The preference i hear a lot is that pockets like original because they can spam easier without having to peak so far our on left corners. Roamers like stock because you can get more out of right hand jumps with it and corner peak scouts with low hp easily to kill them. Either way it comes down to what you like more. I personally have switched between them a lot simply because i felt like it.

I like to at least be able to tell what happens with frags and how the develop, not just skip to the next frag immediately to the point of its just looking at one headshot right after another.
