SideshowWhy are all of these people coming out of the woodwork now like "oh yeah guys I knew for ages everyone is really dodgy"
do you not have a moral obligation to speak up when you know this shit is happening?
IARENOBODYWhat the fuck guys? If you knew the entire time you should have said something. The internet drama excuse seems like a cop out. Just out come out with it next time. Okay? If something seems off, then speak up. Imagine if this post wasn't created. The entire thing would have happened without any concerns, and this guy could have gotten away with it (assuming it's a scam). The fault would be on you if you knew about it. Suppose you are working at a charity, and an employee is stealing money from it. Wouldn't you speak up? Not only is the employee stealing money from donors, but also the children.
Sorry if my original post was confusing but I kinda rage-spat it out from reading how he treated other people.
I cannot speak for others, but personally I was under zero assumption that snoven would take the items for himself until this thread came along.
Prior to being linked this thread, all I knew about his scamming was "he pretended to be a girl and got some hats from some kid". I did not read any of the steamrep posts or anything else into it until this thread came along, I never saw any of the FTC staffs previous behaviour or dickish posts on SR forums prior to this thread. I did not know the kid was buying the hats with his parents paypal.
A couple months ago I was like "oh, he's only doing FTC as a publicity stunt, I don't want to be a part of that", I didn't even know about the item donations, I was only shown the event donation page (monetary) on the childs play website.
Again, I don't know if these posts are aimed at me among others, But you have to understand that I never assumed/thought he would scam anyone during the charity stream until I read this thread, I never asked anyone about his scamming because I don't care for the issue, I had no concern to speak out against it until I was linked this thread, then I was like "oh shit, he did THAT?" and immediately spoke up to help reinforce the stuff that's already been posted.
If I knew there was any threat to peoples items being taken instead of rightfully used in the stream I would have indeed spoken up about it, but I honestly was not aware of how shitty they treated the people they scammed, they seemed genuine about their intentions (both the charity and the publicity stunt) but I see now that they has a complete different side of them that shit-talks the people they scam and don't give a fuck about other peoples lively-hoods.
I hope you understand my mentality on the matter before I saw this thread, Internet drama vs Morally wrong are separated by a few pieces of evidence that I discovered from this thread.
