#395 Cheater/Hacker thread in TF2 General Discussion
dollarlayer-snip-Vortex-snip-AvastPlayed against Fearmie a few times but hung out with players that I thought were legit (that whole R^4 circlejerk) so didnt question the crazy sniper shots that they hit. With this news I'll definitely say the POV's need to be reviewed for possible cheating.

#50 Concerns about Flares that Care in TF2 General Discussion
SideshowWhy are all of these people coming out of the woodwork now like "oh yeah guys I knew for ages everyone is really dodgy"

do you not have a moral obligation to speak up when you know this shit is happening?
IARENOBODYWhat the fuck guys? If you knew the entire time you should have said something. The internet drama excuse seems like a cop out. Just out come out with it next time. Okay? If something seems off, then speak up. Imagine if this post wasn't created. The entire thing would have happened without any concerns, and this guy could have gotten away with it (assuming it's a scam). The fault would be on you if you knew about it. Suppose you are working at a charity, and an employee is stealing money from it. Wouldn't you speak up? Not only is the employee stealing money from donors, but also the children.

Sorry if my original post was confusing but I kinda rage-spat it out from reading how he treated other people.

I cannot speak for others, but personally I was under zero assumption that snoven would take the items for himself until this thread came along.

Prior to being linked this thread, all I knew about his scamming was "he pretended to be a girl and got some hats from some kid". I did not read any of the steamrep posts or anything else into it until this thread came along, I never saw any of the FTC staffs previous behaviour or dickish posts on SR forums prior to this thread. I did not know the kid was buying the hats with his parents paypal.

A couple months ago I was like "oh, he's only doing FTC as a publicity stunt, I don't want to be a part of that", I didn't even know about the item donations, I was only shown the event donation page (monetary) on the childs play website.

Again, I don't know if these posts are aimed at me among others, But you have to understand that I never assumed/thought he would scam anyone during the charity stream until I read this thread, I never asked anyone about his scamming because I don't care for the issue, I had no concern to speak out against it until I was linked this thread, then I was like "oh shit, he did THAT?" and immediately spoke up to help reinforce the stuff that's already been posted.

If I knew there was any threat to peoples items being taken instead of rightfully used in the stream I would have indeed spoken up about it, but I honestly was not aware of how shitty they treated the people they scammed, they seemed genuine about their intentions (both the charity and the publicity stunt) but I see now that they has a complete different side of them that shit-talks the people they scam and don't give a fuck about other peoples lively-hoods.

I hope you understand my mentality on the matter before I saw this thread, Internet drama vs Morally wrong are separated by a few pieces of evidence that I discovered from this thread.

His net goes off at a certain time during the night (his dad cuts it)

Gotcha, if that's the case the timing was just pretty bad.

Also, gonna throw in my two cents on this whole thing. I've known Snoven for a while, back when he was on his Amz account too. In short I found out that he would go to a server and pretend to be a chick and then some kid with access to his parent's paypal account would buy stuff for him. He also tried to give me a Max's Head that I later gave back, turns out that was scammed as well. Also there's his first account getting hit with the community ban. Just stupid stuff like that really gave me bad vibes about him. He asked me to help with FTC this time around but knowing him I tried to keep away. After reading all of this and seeing how sketchy the event itself is I really don't feel okay with him running something like this.

Since my bud Auzzie posted here I may aswell reaffirm the facts;

I've known about this shit for months now, I haven't said anything about it outside of my circle of friends because I don't give a shit about internet drama, also I don't ever post on tftv (just lurk).

He added me before the FTC stuff got "big", through mutual friends (before my opinion of him soured). Once I found out his true intentions (see below) I told my friends not to get involved with the event on a staff level and I just left the steam group and forgot about the whole event.

I've played mvm with him awhile back where he openly bragged in mumble about scamming $4000 worth of tf2 crap from some kid by pretending to be a girl, then justified it by giving the items to people I am friends with (see Auzzies post). He also admitted in mumble that FTC was basically just something to make him popular disguised as a charity event (not that he wont donate the proceeds to charity though).

I generally don't like the guy as a whole but I never removed him because I didn't wanna cause shit by doing so (I was listed as a moderator or something of FTC before the site got changed), now that the truth is out I can delete him without caring about internet drama.

TL;DR

Everything in the OP is 100% correct.
