#4 Scout LFT- New to comp in Recruitment (looking for team)
Maevsince you're so new to competitive, I'd go check out newbie mixes. https://steamcommunity.com/groups/na6v6newbiemix

you'll be pared up with a coach who is experienced in the game and other new comp players to learn the game. the coach will help you understand the game and learn your class.

after that when you are comfortable with tf2 and not so new to the comp scene, you could either hop onto a ugc team, which is more forgiving to beginners, and free, or go straight on to esea if you feel you're ready.

good luck

Thanks for that, I joined that newbie group this weekend. I hadn't looked at it much since I joined because as far as I saw on their basic description I'm expecting all of the action to take place on Fridays.

parkyou should try Newbie PUGs as well sometime for your first pug experience too, think of it as newbie mixes without coaches.

Thanks, I'll look into this when I get home.

#1 Scout LFT- New to comp in Recruitment (looking for team)

I have normally played just by opening the server browser and searching for one of my favorite maps (upward, harvest), or the matchmaking, and playing solo. My gameplay is good enough to stomp in pubs, I can get a big killstreak or whatever. But I'm looking to change things up and give an honest try to competitive TF2.

So that means where I probably am the weakest is my ability coordinate and play as a team member -- not a ton of that goes on in random pubs. I'm excited by the chance to join some other players and start to work on my ability to communicate and coordinate with others and accomplish things I could not alone.

I'm mostly just interested in playing in a team from the role of a scout. I've got a lot of hours on soldier and would consider playing with him occasionally, and maybe mess around on medic, but I'm looking to play scout first and foremost.

I'm available Friday - Sat - Sun and most weeknights.

If you're interested hit me up.
