#11 TF2 Frequent lag spikes in Q/A Help
toads_tfare you on a laptop? does this happen in other games?

Yeah i'm on a laptop, I have other wifi problem with other games, in Warmode (CSGO for low-end pcs) Sometimes I can move but everyone is frozen, it can takes over a minute for the game to come back to normal.

hoolitry a wired connection. I understand it may have worked in the past but that doesn't mean it's not the culprit.

I can't, unfortunatly.

RazielI'd try not alt-tabbing for a while and see if it makes a difference. Try dustbowl pubbing for like 6 hours without alt tabbing. Go demo with a kritz med and time will FLY

Thanks for the advice.

Brockhttps://cfg.tf/ If you wanna experiment

Already tried, Low mastercomfig doesn't work here.

#5 TF2 Frequent lag spikes in Q/A Help
RazielHow often do you alt-tab out of the game? I used to have this problem a bunch whenever I alt-tabbed a lot to get a quick glance at my porn to motivate me during scrims.

I do alt-tab kinda often, is there a problem with that ?

sageyou say its ping/lag but the vid you show seems to be game stuttering, not network related
is it your network or does the game literally freeze for you coz thats different

It doesn't do that offline

midiits cos this game is unoptimized 2 hell try using a performance cfg

I'm using mastercomfig low with a custom file but there's only binds in it

#1 TF2 Frequent lag spikes in Q/A Help

This has been happening to me for the past 2 months and its getting to the point where I think i need to start a my very own (first) thread on this topic.

I have ping/lag spikes every 3-5 seconds where the game 'shudders' making it extremely annoying to play with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHC2JkffD38 this video is very similar to my problem but my 'shudders' last longer than this persons.

Things i have already done:
-re downloaded tf2 (three times)
-verified game cache (many times)
-updated drivers
-deleted tf folder

I'm using WiFi but i have never had this problem earlier on TF2. (i have about 1.7k hours)

ANY ANY possible solutions or helpful comments will be very appreciated. thank you very much.

(This is https://www.teamfortress.tv/15214/tf2-frequent-lag-spikes It didn't got fixed in 5 years and I have the exact same problem than jewbagels so I open a new thread)
