The medic class has a very high skill ceiling but even at that peak of a skill ceiling there is very little reward. There is nothing Valve can do to fix this inherent problem in a support class. The class is extremely simple to get into with a lot of cool mechanics backing behind it to make it feel slightly more complex. I really like where medic is at right now and I hope they don't do anything too drastic to inspire people to medic more.
