I always liked "Competitive Gaming". Compare it to chess and people understand.

PapaSmurf323I would focus on a side-project you want to do. Lets say you want to create a website. Then go learn the languages/material that you will need to complete that side-project. Don't go picking a language before you know what you want to do, that's backwards.

I believe the correct process is something like this. I don't remember the exact commands
1. open the demo file you want to record in tf2
2. change the timescale in console for slow motion
3. record using tf2 build-in stuff, using raw for the tga files at 240 fps or w/e
4. use a tool like virtualdub to compile the tga files and audio file output and render that to a 60fps playable video
Thats how you would render something like this

zowie has a lower liftoff distance. I know friends who have put clear tape over their razer mice (mamba? depends on the sensor) to get the same effect. I wouldnt say it takes much to 'get used to it'. It just make liftoff movement more consistent for those with lower sensitivity.
a lot of good info in this thread. Another difference that I enjoy, that I dont see posted is mousefeet.
For example the DA has 3 mousefeet (2 small ones in the front and 1 large one in the back). Zowie EC1 has 1 large one in the front and 1 large one in the back. I find DA mousefeet wear out faster because of this.
