#8 Viewmodels In Crosshair in Q/A Help
MoyPootismanOh, whoops

I'm pretty new here, soooo....

I DamnEasyIm pretty sure thats viewmodel_fov 300+, like I said, can you tell me what your viewmodel_fov is?
I dont get it, my ingame console says that my desired viewmodel is 90. Is there something else wrong?
are you using the command fov_desired 90? because that's your player field of view.
you want to use the command viewmodel_fov for your weapon field of view.

That fixed it. Thanks!

When I zoom out with the sniper, there's a short period of time i could see it snap back to a semi-normal viewmodel:

#1 Viewmodels In Crosshair in Q/A Help

Before the Meet Your Match update, I installed transparent viewmodels from the Team Fortress TV Thread. It worked and I had no issues with it. After the update, my viewmodel didn't seem to render, so I just removed all the files relevant to making the viewmodels transparent. This did work, but now I only see that my viewmodel is tinier than usual and is at the general area of the crosshair. I tried the following but I still haven't fixed it.

  • commands r_drawviewmodel 0 and r_drawviewmodel 1
  • commands cl_first_person_uses_world_models 1 and cl_first_person_uses_world_models 0
  • verifying the integrity of game cache
  • restarting both the game and the computer

Help would be much appreciated, thanks!

EDIT: I have it fixed now. The command I was looking for was viewmodel_fov 54. I can't believed that was so minor. Thanks for all the help
